im not raging it was almost as much fun pushing his buttons as playing cards, but it gets to a point where u spend more time on them than the game and i was wondering if there was a secret phrase to shut him up or a better way to deal with them then sinking to their level???

Bad Players and Bad Mouth come in a package. if you can ignore their mouth and concentrate on your game you can win big . If you want to shut him up in between, lose 1-2 hands (with minimal pot) in between , that might work U can win it back anytime again because they are so pathetic at playing

Why would you care if they abuse you in the chat? It shouldn't effect your play. It will annoy other players at the table and most will support you but leave it to them to hold the grudge for you. Don't let the abuser know he's winding you up, don't target him specifically unless you know he's weak in a certain hand, ie don't go looking for conflict with him playing medium hands that will get you in trouble and don't let him distract you from your game, other weak players, your best hands.
Other players at the table may target him for you so you don't need to risk your chips against a player who will play erratically against you, playing all sorts of hands, making it hard for you to read them. Not responding to his comments will send him further into tilt and you'll probably find when you get a monster hand they are more likely to call with rubbish.

Bad players are everywhere...I never chat on the table only on a power hand to congrat a player or something like that. The simple thing when someone disturb you is to disable the chat with him. Players who talk in the game are bad players after my opinion. They lose their money and you make a great bankroll It's simple. I colud say that a fish is a good source of money ) Good luck everyone!

You did well, dont't mind about that and others bad loosers who will appear in your way. If he was short stack and really had in mind to win that pot, it should have been him to raise pre flop and then make all in at flop. In that way, perhaps you would be afraid of a probable three of a kind he could have and folded. Like he played his hand in a wrong way, you just have to feel good because you took one more victorious hand to your account!
