Even if you were to buy different domains, you'd still need to create a multi language website.
It would be bad practice to create a separate site for each language; the different domains should point to the same server, so you would not have to deploy each language separately.

From purely an SEO standpoint, it's NOT a good idea to use any sort of auto-translation tools, as search engines such as google will see it as "auto generated" content and will penalize you or even blacklist you all together.
Realistically, the best approach to multi-language, as said, is just find 2 or 3 of the most common languages, and translate to that. Keep in mind, you want to make sure you properly translate it, and don't just use something like babelfish.
Also, for optimum results, you DO want to have each language have it's own domain. If you have for example poker.site.com, I'd suggest using sub-domains.Ie: ru.site.com for russian, ch.site.com for chinese etc. If you're at all familiar with 301 directs and htacess files, it's not that hard to set it up so users will automatically be re-directed to the domain for their home region based on their language settings.
I do realise this might be a lot of information to take in, but realistically if you just go the lazy route, you'll likely kill your site before it even gets off the ground.
