all in is not good in this situation, you still be beat by many hands like: A6, 99, 55, 78, 96. If it's me, I will bet about 1/2 - 2/3 but not all in. And you villains in this hand is too bad to call your all in, poor you got bad beat

U should have gone allin, as there are a6, 99 who are ahead of you, others will have to chase.
you have more chances of winning then losing, but by raising you are giving opponent an option to try his luck for few more chips.
anyways he was very lucky winning at river. better luck next time

If opponent calls a bet with his hand on that flop , there was little you could do. But the 5 on the turn isn't a safe card. 87 had made a straight with it.

100% yes and yet 2 posts that say no?? strange.
Cant see why he would call the raise, something smells!, why on earth did you go all in? worst card comes out and you put it all in against a caller on a board you missed.I say you playd it wrong.
Get up at 1 to play a game with 1 pay out? worth about $150-$200
playing tight all game (to the point the whole table folds when im on bb or raise), errr ok. Big Smile

think is that 9 time on 10 you will pown this idiot, so normally, on long view, 9 time on 10 you get the money (or the ps3, what else..) so its the right thing to do. I know how it is (we all know, cause we all play poker here) when nothing works, when all AA are batbeated and when you never finish first cause of fishs and others badluck... but try to keep your head cool : if you can be on a final table, it prove your poker is good. Just wait for a rush, and you will see money coming over and over!!

good luck

I would have gone all in right away to take the pot before it shows an 7 or 5 or 9. If they called me and I would have lost, (beaten by a stupid call 25% win?), it's because of bad luck.

Note that it was heads up and his opponent took a free flop through his BB, so I would say with his opponent having a stack of less than 20 BB i would say it is highly unlikely that he wouldn't have raised 99 or even an ace for A6 in that position. I think it was the right play, and well since you had the clearly best hand it obviously was.

If you cant go all in there - what hand should you go all in with? There are not many hands that beat him, on flop it is 96, A6 and 99 that beats him and on turn its 55 and 87.

Well played, but outdrawn by the fish - I know how it is, feels like the fishes hitting their cards every time.

Just seen iv looked at the hand wrong, I take back my comment.
But first, id raise pre-flop HU, then the 20% might be enough to get him to fold.
the more you play the more you will say NEVER SLOW PLAY, get it in on the flop.

I would probably play it in a similar way. Well, don't worry, next time you'll grab the prize. Blink

You did the right thing, you have had the luck of having a dobled (i think you called it split) flop with a pair of 6's, and you had a 6 on hand. No one would think that 9 could become a part of a straight. If you have done all in at flop, the game would continue and you could loose in another even difficult hand.

You did the right choise. 99% from us poker players go all in with that card on heads up. That was pure luck for your opponent.

OMG!!!! iT was a robbery that hand!! It is an incredible story what you told here! You were completely "robbed" by the room! lol I really dont understand why donkeys like that have luck in the river it is absolutely ridiculous. You have to be patient and wait for more luck! good luck at tables!
