Of course it is possible. Good heads up players can have a lot of profit. The secret is playing your limit and limit the number of tables at the same time because sit&Gos heads up need more atention than a full ring. But i think it is possible but you have to have some experience!

yeah it is possible but you have to be some kind of poker freak to only play heads up...
Although you wouldnt get bored as easy i suppose as you dont have to wait very long for your turn. Blink
I play HU on FTP some times but i play the 4 seat mini tours so you play HU and another table plays HU then the two winners play on the final table... its good but i couldn't do it all the time i think it defo makes you much looser and for me thats not good as i get into trouble when i play to many hands (i get the feeling im invisable) and start making big mistakes. Building a BR from HU is (in my opinion) quite difficalt as you have to knock every one out, when in 6 or 9 seater you can let others fight it out.... Agree

And ofcorse it depends what limits you are playing at... if you can only do $2 HU forget about it but if you can do $1000+ HU then ofcorse but i think you will encounter lots of HU specialists.

I tried some headsup games and lost most of them. But I am a very new player. I'm almost winning with sngs though

Sometimes I play heads up, but I can't win all of them. So I think I can't grow my bankroll from it. But it is a good type of game if you can use your card good and make your opponents to fold his own cards. It takes fewer time than sng or mtt, and you can double up your buyin.

of course
but i prefer ring games
there is a high variance playing heads up

Buikling a BR in HU games is difficult but possible.

One very good way is to find someone whos registered but has sat out.

I won a $50 HU game against a player who registered and must have forgotten about it and was sat out. I then did a player search and found him in another 4 games and took him for $120 in all.

Mind you I lost it just as quickly as I got it.

Yes it is possible, why not?
I know many reasons why it should be possible

I think its hard.
Even the best players playing Headsup have a negative roi because of fees (check the stats of Da_professional : he win 55% of his heads up i think, but roi -2% in headsup, because fees crushs his benefit!

I started to play only heads up and I grow my bankroll(not so much, but is good for the moment).I play poker for many years, but i've never been a good player at cash games.I feel more confortable at sit&goes, tourneys and HU.In the past I played only tourneys and sit&oes but you can have a long run out of money at tourneys and i don't like that. Now I will try to focus on HU,because i think here you can use your skill better. In tournaments you need to have more luck than others types of games.

------------
So,i begin to belive that HU play is one of the best way to grow a bankroll,of course if you have some skill.Right?

What do you think is better way to make profit between cash games and heads up?

In my point of view. Sit and go's are the best way to win money (specialy the "double or nothing" Blink. and if you play "by the book" you realy double up your money, the chance to take a bad beat is lower than any other place Blink

Don't think so, too many good players out there who are just waiting for you to cash them out Big Smile
And if not, there is too less to win from just one player..
