HUD = Heads up Display.

For Pokertracker it means that it records hand historys and gives you data about how often people raised or folded and preflop raised and stuff like that.

At least I think that is what it means... I am new to poker aswell.

------------
Oh forgot... the HUD means that it is displayed right on the table you are playing on... they put some kind of layer over it.

Sorry I suck at explaining.

Yep. Hud is short for heads up display.

The data of the players are displayed at the table. Naturely you must have a programm that collects the data. So a hud is part of tracking software.

Hud is fine if you are multitabling and need to know where u stand against an opponent in a hurry.
Of course stats is based on volume so no need to jump the conclusion.
They tell you what kind of hands an opponnent will call, raise or reraise with. (range)
How likely they are willing to fire bullets postflop. And how many and hard.
How likely they are to float u. And pay u off if u have a hand.
So a must have thing. Its implented in pokertracker 3. But pokermanager is fine too. Better many says. But the fee is higher but if you first make the "cut" its like dimes and nickels.

I for myself use pokertracker for about a week now and I think it is a very good and decent software. Never tried pokermanager though.
I only started playing poker recently Big Smile
