It is ridiculous the struggle some governments are doing against poker! Poker is a a game that came to stay it is a very popular game. Governments can do wahtever they want but it will continue to be played. No restrictions to poker please!

That mail should have only been sent to USApoker players. But, by the way, there have already been sent to portuguese parlament for discussion many subjects that started as an online petition. There's a site that gives the oportunity for creating petitions. I belive it works in different languages, so perhaps this one have been made there. Just to say: its nice for people with the same interests to get together and work for a cause, for a common objectif.
in todays newspaper was a story about russia... they closed all casinos to protect the people for compulsive gambling.... the casino´s at the hotel´s are changing the environmet with pokertables!

poker is gambling and if you had a gambling habit you cant blame poker, you blame yourself, the reason governments dont like poker (especialy online poker) is because they cant get their pound of flesh out of it (taxes) if a big poker player in the USA is playing online poker on a europian site then the U.S government doesnt get a cent, its funny how pokies and casinos are allowed to operate in most U.S states, even gin rummy (rummy royal) is allowed because its called a game of skill, skill my ass, gin is more about luck than poker, in gin you often get hands that you cant do 1 thing with, at least with poker you allways have a chance of winning.

The thing is some people can not control their greed and just continue playing when they should stop. That's why sometimes it is seen as a crime. Otherwise it's ok.
