I have vote'd Gamble as it is the way I play especially in hold'em.....but it is a calculated gamble...if that makes any sence
I allways look to see what I can aforde to lose before I look to see what I might win..... so yes it might be a skill game as well but I think the skill is " Money Management "
I voted fot betting/skill game, but I also think it's a luck game (especially at the limits I play) when you see people cracking pocket Aces with 93o and stuff, so in the end if you are a good player and you know what your doing you will have a profit but you will still lose money against someone with luck on his side.
ps: just won a pot with 72o (clicked wrong button) against JJ so yes luck is a very big factor.

I dont know what limits you are playing, but I guess you are talking about the micro limits and I can only agree with you. I have been playing for about 10 Days at Everest now and its really a donk fest and full of stupid bad beats. I dont get how ppl can actually make profit like that, but respect if someone does it, on the lower limits. My Bankroll looked like that at Everest ----> I deposit 30$ ; 1 Day: (+10) 40$ ; 2 Day (+25): 65$; 3 Day: (-10) 55$; 4 Day: (+40) 95$; So far so good, I had every Day a few up and downs, some really strange bad beats, but always managed to come back, only the Day 3 was a bit fucked up, but on Day 5, I couldnt believe it, it can be even more swingy, than it alrdy was.... 5 Day: (-50) 45$; 6 Day: (+40) 85$; 7 Day: (-20) 65$; 8 Day: (+40) 105$; 9 Day: (-75) 30$; 10 Day - Game Over : (-30) 0$ GG
Infos: multitabling (4-6 tables) NL - 0,05 / 0,1 $, no hud. I tried to clear the 300$ Bonus, but I failed, as you can see.
I think I will stick to FTP only, I dont know why, but I cant get used to pokerrooms with too many donks in it. My Bankroll at FTP reached the 400 $ mark, 317$ profit, 50$ bonus dollars + rakeback.
PS: Poker is about SKILL, but you have to play at higher limits, if you play at lower limits and you always have 3-4 callers, then even with Aces you wont make profit on the long-term. Best thing will be to deposit a little more money, or build your Bankroll with SNG's and then move to higher cash game limits.
ps: just won a pot with 72o (clicked wrong button) against JJ
Nice one........ and there was no luck involved just SKILL
haha off course it was all skill , still 10 hands after that I get AKs person raises I re-raise, she calls, flop is KQ4 turn 3 river 6, it was a tournament and she pushed on the turn, I call, she shows QQ lol.
@Danemitic: yes I play 10 and 20 NL and I just started playing at vc poker. It's just unbelievable the hands I saw there in the past 2 days . people with Quads on the flop lose against runner runner quads, quads losing to straight flush, set against gut shot rivers it's just unbelievable, I had my share of those crazy hands already, losing my full house against a runner runner quad. if those were bad beat tables I would be rich by now I think. Oh well, it's part of the game and the secret is good BRM but it can get frustrated when you know your playing a good game but somebody just busts you with that 2 outer.

Wow i have never seen quads vs quads or quads vs straight flush at my table and i have been playing pretty often for the past few years!
I've been playing for a year now and I had never seen this either, it was unbelievable really, and to see these hands in a time period of like 2 hours was even more crazy.

Depends on the format of poker, truth is luck runs out so any long term winning player is winning with skill. So its both but for a commitid player skill.
