Almost never, when a guy is tilting and you just bluffed him out, I might show them just to tilt him some more, especially with tournament, so they go all in faster. But normally in cash games I would never show any of my cards.

Its better to never show your cards, it give so much informations that you could regreat it later. I beat some players on big pot just cause they show me one time their cards... it helps to make some good read, so never do this !!

I never show when I'm online unless I have quads or better - however, in live games you play fewer hands over a set amount of time so it can help to show good cards to obtain a decent image faster...

When u bluff with small cards, without hand. Do that once or twice. And then people began think you are fish. Then If your lucky and once get a very good hand, example KK or AA, then raise and they can now call it as they think he just bluffing. And if you can get 5 people to buy, that tactic, you can have a good win.

How about if your giving them a false read on you? Theres nothing wrong in showing cards, you just got to have a good reason and remember what you shown and to who.

I think it doesnt matter. Sometimes i show so my oponents can see i deserved the pot. Other times i would it with 27, so they get mad with me. I do it to disturb my oponents, dont want them to understand with what type of hands i play.

This is absolutely the key to showing cards - Knowing exactly what others thinks of you is a big asset when playing poker.
Showing cards to tell people what to think is a great way of establishing a table image. You can then play off that image and trap your opponent cause he thinks he has a good read on you.
Showing cards is such an underused weapon in the poker world and I am happy for it to stay that way.
For me though showing cards is just part of my game now.
if youre a shortstack and you plan on making a few moves and dont want to be called it can be good to show trips or something, then you should be able to make a few moves a bit safer, or you can show a bluff if you plan on being tighter and want them to call.
Most serious players don't show their cards at all.
Personally I show my cards from time to time while playing SnGs. I do it when the blinds are very high and I make a steal with cards like 25o. It makes the opponents angry and they make hero calls when I have good cards. It all depends on other players at the table but on the lower stakes tables it's a nice trick.
