I am a big bgi fan off Amstrong. 1 off the greatest athletes ever. He can win this Tour The France? Hmmm, Top10 he can do, but Nr1? I think Contador is the big favourate.

i dont know.i mean he is in astana, and so it is contador and kloden.. i dont see astana putting armstrong as their leader, maybe their second leader, above contador, but not as leader
so the other members os the team surely will work for contador, as so will armstrong at some point..so i think he wont win the tour this year

I dont think he will win but i do think he will still be competetive. after a long lay off, even thou he obviously keeps his fitness up it would be a lot to ask...
As for his team... i think with such a strong personality he will increase the team moral and that can only be good.

Haha.... Just read this old thread.
I suppose he couldn't this year, but as crazy as it may sounds I actually believe he can do it next year.
However Alberto Contador remains my favourite for the overall victory once more next year. With a more mature Andy Schleck and a possible return for Alejandro Valverde and Riccardo Ricco could make the mountains even more explosive. I also hope danish mountainhero Michael Rasmussen will return. He deserved the victory in 2007 and I believe indeed that Rabobank stole it from him. You are innocent until there are proof of guilt. He too could make an interesting return to the Tour de France.
At last I also hope Team Saxo Bank will introduce young danish climber Jakob Fuglsang to the Tour de France next year. Most of you probably don't know him, but he will be Saxo Banks captain for the Vuelta this year with luxirious helpers as the Schleck brothers.
Other interesting returns for next years Tour could be Alexandre Vinokourov and also the introduction of Emanuele Sella (nicknamed the new Pantani because of the way he rode the Giro 2008). Anyway I think next years Tour will be even harder. Something that would suit good old Lance - but maybe his age will also be even more tested......
