PatriK Antonius is out? When I start reading this news i thought this were those players who just came up in the end. And i thought stars would have their places safe but it seems that is not true. This only shows that each time there will be more players trying to enter big events, because poker is each time calling for more people from around the world to the WSOP!

I would just head over to the casino and sit down in the cash games. They are crazy around this time of year in Vegas. I lived there for last years Main Event...So many cash games that you can really make better money playing in those rather than buy-in to a long shot tournament like the main event.

LOL ! I bet a Finn would get to the final table ... 20x the money that was bet and now antonius is gone ... *sigh* it all would be so easy if you had a little bit under average luck.
Posted by doomdy: Patrick not in the main event cos its full WTF Players like him must have a pre-buyinn or sometin. Unreal......
Thats exactly what I thought too. In my opinion, all Pros should recieve an invitation to the bigger tournaments, so no one can miss the buy-in, like PA did. I mean, WTF, the main event without the known players isnt the same...

Yeah it is really stupid a poker player pro like patrick antonius not participating in this great competition. But what happens once more proves that poker is growing and that World Series of Poker continues to be the greatest poker event in the world!
hmm i do not understand that , why do they make such a big tourney when they do not have enough seats???? its incredible that there are 800 players that had to go home again , i do not understand that !!! =)
