Is this normal ?  0
most of the time i play cash tables, 4x $0.10/0.25 or 2 tables $0.25/0.50 at pokers.
my poker improved alot in the past and my bankroll is growing Worship
BUT, i dont know how to explain...its going up and down like crazy lol. i often make $100 profit and then im down to $20 again ! i find thats ALOT allthough i end up + $50 (average) profit.
sometimes i can explain it, when a ldiot calls my raise or even reraise with J7o and hits trips - and i usualy tend to go all-in if the pot allows it and i think i have the better hand. sometimes i cant explain it Big Smile...probably due to playin many tables at once? dunno

do i risk too much ? or is that normal ?....just poker?
or do i have to reconsider my play ?

Not sure on this one T3ddyKGB but when my bankroll starts going down to much I take a break as I chalk it up to having a bad day. There is always tomorrow. Big Smile

Hmm, well you could say the money goes to your head, and then you play diffrent.
But if its against donk hands, no need to worry, but I would check over you HH.
Or like you say too many tables, if you have frequent HI and low swings then its just normall for your game, but if a patter is there, such as you only lose big when you are the big stack then time to check the HH.

Maybe you should work on your postflop play. Going all in "thinking" (better word would be hoping) to have the best hand is a high variance play.

nono, i dont go all-in preflop "thinking i have the better hand" Smile except with aces. i just generaly mean on turn/river...if i think someone is on a draw. often i got proved to be right/sometimes not lol. thats what i meant with takin to many risks.

that could be it B1gfoot, gotta pay more attention on it if my play changes. checking HH is surely a must, but im too lazy to do that Big Smile

well thanks guys, i was just curious if someone else experience the same with HUGE up and downs and if its normal - but obviously its not. guess i have to sit down once and check my HH.

What is your style of play? Some styles have much bigger swings than other. If you play loose aggressive there's nothing wrong.

well let's see, I use to play on 3/6 tables and my bankroll was about $150, had a series of nasty beats for a few days and got down to 80 so steaming as I was, I opened a 10/20 table (stupid, I know) and I got some really good hands early on (the anger and frustration vanished instantly), so I made some money then I started playing really agressivley, stole more pots than I can count and constantly switching tables. Anyway in 2 days my bankroll was at $350 and in another 2 days it was at $200 (it was because the people on the tables got used to how I play, I think)
Now I've chased out the $200 because I need them right now, but I'll be back playng by the end of the summer

Well, if you play on NL50 and buy in maximum, 100dollar is only 2 BI which isn't a very big loss. If you buy in 50dollar per table and don't feel comfotable with losing 100dollar, you should go down a level or two.

BTW it sounds like your bankroll is to small to play at those limits, so play on the lower stakes. Bankoll management and patience is your best friends at a poker table.

No! I`ve heard this is normal. There is such things like upstrike and downstrike. But I am not sure of what difference in winning and loosing is normal.

It is normal depending in the amount you use in both limits you play. If youre in nl50 and you are respecting your bankrollmanagement i guess that variation is normal. Sometimes we go dow again because of lucky donkeys, but we have to remember that they are them who gonna give us profit.

This can be said about my game to.
I often double up then leave the table because once you have doubled through you have a larger stack so you get a little less action....So raising or re-raising has more effect on the other players.
But in the same vain i might blow out on another table or get a bad beat then my double up only puts me even......
So getting ahead and staying there is the key.
Get ahead then move table is what i try and do but it doesnt always work that way...lol Big Smile

Get yourself Holdem manager and run report on Your play. It can give You quick overview of Your play separated by actions. From that report you can search for possible flaws in play with no need to go through every hand. Not only this way but also through other options You can narrow down the search for flaws and it is much quicker and easier to do.

poker is just a variations nightmare, just remember one thing, they will never write a book about what makes players play a hand and keep calling, donk or pro.just the way poker is.beats and swings are part of the game, try higher limits, little bit tighter, respecting of raises.
