okay - here is the question - up till now i have been playing poker ad hoc....and it's not going well
so I now have about $60 on a site....how do i play with this money....i usually like to play a 6 person sng and a cash no limit table at the same time...
what $$ value should i be playing....at the moment i would play a $1 or $2 sng and a 25/50 cent cash table...

NL50 with a 60 bucks bankroll? Invitation for desaster. Drop down to NL10 or even lower if available. Playing SnG and cash at the same time is questionable too.

Whats wrong with playing SNG and cash games at the same time? I dont think its a problem, as long as he is following a good bankrollmanagement, everything should be fine. Only MTT wouldnt be that good with a small bankroll.
My suggestion is to move down to lower limits, NL10 or lower should be fine, like shokaku alrdy said. About SNG, better play only 1$ SNG's until you reach 50buy-ins (100$) and then move up to 2$, this will be less risky to bust your bankroll. And I personally dont like the 6 person SNG's, its not profitable enough, better play 10 mans or even higher, max 18/24. They are very easy to play at this level, if you go for a tight play. You can find a lot of training vids on the web, which helps a lot.

Don't play 25/50 cash tables, a string of badbeats will bust your bankroll. Play 5/10 cash tables with 60$, when you have 150$ move to 10/25 cash tables. For sng play 1$ buyin sngs, if you want to improve your bankroll without much risk steadily play doubleup sngs(if your site offers it)

LOL. NL50 Your br is too small for it. I think the best for you is play NL2, maybe NL5 and it's max. But if you playing ss strategy then you can play NL10.

yeah stick to lower limits and build up your bankroll,have one bad session and poof you bankroll is dust,if you got enough to go thru bad run alswell.but,,if you winning with what your donig why change.
