The very worst case scenario at a 10 man table pre flop ...
Imagine this , you are sitting at a table with 10 other persons and are playing texas holdem , you are UTG and all in with 7-2. Player1 to your left holds 77 and player 2 holds 2 2 and player 3 holds 7 2 ALSO ... = no pair probability at all with your own hand because all 7s and 2s are gone.
The rest of the field (who all are all all in of some strange reason) holds eg 55 and 55 = no straight with the 2 possible and two other holds 88 and 88 = no straight possibility with the 7 ... Lets also say that the players hold the same suits as my cards (if i hold suited 7 2 in diamonds the other players also hold higher diamonds to eliminate the flush draw)
Remember there are two players left also ...
But what are the odds for winning ? Or is there even an possibility to win or do i have to hope for a split ?? I have heard somewhere that you ALWAYS have SOME outs to win the pot in poker but this just seems too impossible ...

question is why are u all in pre flop with 72? even if i had 3 blinds left i wouldnt even go in wit that.. lol i doubt this situation would ever come up anyway like that. Nice thinking though

Posted by JoeJeavons: This is obviously a theoretical situation, and if all are in the pot to the end there's no way you can win with your 72, you have 0 outs.

yes right you have 0 outs, if your position at UTG you need the best starting hand only to go all in ,with 7 2 i'd better fold early just to save chips for the next hand

You don't have any outs for win, you can only have outs for split pot, that too very low and with crazy boards cards. 72 already have low chances of winning and with all the 2s and 7s with players there's no way out.

The only possibility i can remember now is a straight flush with comunity cards. Lets imagine both other players had AA. If there was four of a kind in the table, it would be split pot for them because of high card. But there would be one possibility for you: KQJT9 suited. No one has none of this cards, only 2s, 7s, 5s, 8s, and aces. If, instead of aces, other two would have other pairs in their hand, the possibility would be a four of a kind with ace in the end at the comunity cards.

Lol what a long story. The probabilitie of that is... let me see... impossible! Lol a lot of players had to have specific cards for the story be true. In a global way the sentence is true, every hand in poker as the potencial to win! Luckily!
