Hi guys,
I don't know if anyone has noticed lol but I haven't been to active the last 2 days. The main reason is that some freeking ship anchor or who knows what.....maybe an undersea earthquake has destroyed some of the big underseas cables providing India with Internet so as far as I know, their internet is being routed through Thailand and our internet connections was already a joke before that. Now almost all my pages loads in low-fi versioons, no images, css etc. Bankroll is loading but I can't see half the menu and all images won't load correct. It's a rain pain. Will still try to be active but it really takes a toll on my patience. I heard there are some cables close to Taiwan that doesn't work too. It might take awhile before I have my semi-adsl back.

Yeah I read about it in the news. Crazy if only ONE cable connects so many people to the internet. I don't think this is the first time in the past 5 years or something, that a part of the world was somewhat disconnected because of an undersea cable was broken.

yeah, its not more than 4-6 months ago it happen last time, so we are getting used to it. The thing that annoys me the most is that they have absolutely no back of plans in these cases. @$#@$%$^% Amateurs !!

Posted by Im2good4u: Yeah, something like that already happened here in asia when one of the main cables broke somewhere in the pacific ocean,.
^ Hey Im2good4u I ain't that far from you. Thailand to be more precise. I have actually been thinking of going to the Philippines in the near future. Maybe we can hook up and have a heads up. Difficult to find poker players here.

Here in Brasil no such thing of such magnitude happened, but I´ll tell you what DOES happen and FREQUENTLY: Connection problems!
So you´re playing a tourney, boom, connection fails... there goes your chips to the blinds. Playing a Sit N Go, boom, conection fails... there goes your chips to the blinds.
The worst of all this, there is no certain time, it can happen at random moments. It is really annoying, especially when buy-in is a great deal amount of money.

Well, there is the option of wirelless connection, but it is more expensive and half as fast! So basically, I think twice before joining a tournament which can take a long time.

When it comes to ring games, definately... but tournaments, no chance, as sometimes it takes over an hour for the internet connection to be back on its feet.

Man that REALLY sucks, i get mad at my ISP when he has quarterly maintanance during which connection is lost but you can reconnect again in most cases, but now i see why so many people get disconnected and sitting out at SnG tourneys.

Yeah, that sucks big time! but i bet it's not just his ISP that's having a problem cause if the damaged line is the main cable on his country then most likely that all of their ISPs are screwed.

Unfortunately, I keep telling myself, "No, this time won´t happen." And it seems everytime I play sit n go this happens. If I´m at a ring game, no connection problems. Very strange my friend, very strange
