Many sites allows only one account per person, family etc. What happens if a friend or somebody who knows your details makes another account with your details? In this case there are 2 accounts on your name.

Most likely the newer account will be closed. At least that is the policy for fill tilt. There a lot of people try to open a 2nd account to get rakeback.

I think if something like that happens they'll lock the newer account and send email for verification to both of the accounts. i don't think you can get rakeback if you already have an account there but u can contact support to find out for sure

It's not about my friend.I just gave an example of a situation that could happen.
Ok, first, I don't know of any/many poker rooms that require ID to create an account, affiliates yes, rooms no.
Second, you're example was based on assumption that your friends a jerk. Somebody, like a friend, ex-bf/gf etc probably has enough info on you to do many jerk-like things. This has little to do with poker and more to do with people being a-holes and/or criminals
Find an example of where you'd end up with two accounts under your name, that doesn't involve deliberate sabotage. Hard to think of any really
Way I see it, it shouldn't happen unless a) an honest mistake (seems fairly unlikely) b) deliberate fraud c) your friend is a dickheard (in which case, as i already pointed out, this could also lead to them creating phone accounts in your name, signing up to mailing lists, doing all sorts of things, very little to do with poker)
i had the problem of 2 nicks at one pokersite , too. but it was my misstake because i signed up at an unknown site for a no deposit bonus and now hmm more than 2 years later i haven't remembered that nick and i regsitered a new one. the support told me to verify my account with my passport and then i was able to play normally with my 2nd account and my 1st was closed.

Unfortunately all the poker rooms only allow one account per person. Of course this rule is perfectly understandable, specially to those bonus seekers! I would like to have another account in mansion and full tilt here by bankrollmob, but of course it is not possible!
i HAVE HEARD LEX VELDHUIS SAYING ON TAPE THAT (OMGclayaiken)Highstakes Player on FT and another HS player don't remember his name. Play on the same account ,on high levels at pokerstars. he added I know who I am playing against after a few hands but a new player would not know that so it hapenns other way around 2 2 players on 1 account
I saw it on tape He has a own blog on pokernews.nl and he have something there calls lex veldhuis tapes klick them when you find them it is only in dutch!
