DO NOT PLAY AT EVEREST POKER!!!!  0
I made 4 small deposits recently to Everest Poker, altogether totaling about $32.
As always, after depositing, I checked my credit card online to ensure the proper amounts were paid out. They were all correct.

5 days later, Everest Poker charged my credit card for those same 4 transactions again, as pre-authorized payments. I did not authorize them to do so, nor did I even use my credit card at all after I initially deposited there. So now for depositing about $32, my card has been charged well over $70.

I attempted to contact support, both through email and live chat, and they did not respond to either, which goes to show how shoddy their support, and thus their whole site, is.
So now I am screwed out of that money.

Please, please do not waste your time playing at Everest Poker. They are nothing but crooks and thieves. I am going to post this story on every poker forum I can, so that people do not have to be scammed as I was. Sad

I'm sure they will fix their mistake and pay you back, but still this is not a right way of doing business and it should keep players away

Thanks for the tip. It sucks that people can't get their s**t together. Like, it's not difficult; it's actually pretty simple. If: a player authorizes a deposit, process said deposit. If: a player DOES NOT authorize a deposit, DO NOT process a deposit. I dunno, maybe I'm kinda dumb for thinking this is the way things should be done. Does anyone else not agree with me??

I have the same problem and i was charged twice for 50$. I contacted them and got reply. Check it out.

Dear xxx,

Thank you for your inquiry.

According to our records, your card was debited only once for $50 on
July 10.

In order to see a complete statement or record of your transactions,
please log in to your casino account and click on CASHIER. Under
Additional Options, please select TRANSACTION HISTORY in the drop down
menu and then click Go. You will be able to choose the date range for
the transactions you wish to display.

Entries in GREEN or RED are requests by you to move money into or out of
your casino account (deposits, cash-outs). Entries in BLUE are
adjustments made by Casino Management (like awarding bonuses). Entries
in PURPLE are the banking transactions (such as credit card credits,
debits and winning cheques sent to you) which are the net result of all
your deposits minus all your withdrawals for the processing period.

Please note it may take 3-10 business days for your bank to post debits
from your credit card account.

Credit card companies state that we must pre-authorize any transaction
for a minimum of US$20 when a purchase is made, regardless of the amount.

The pre-authorization is NOT an actual charge; it simply sets aside a
certain amount of funds for future transactions.

Usually the pre-authorization will expire and be removed from your
credit card balance by the end of the month or your next statement date.

You may contact your credit card issuing bank for more information on
how pre-authorizations are handled.

If you have any other questions about our charging methods, please reply
to this e-mail and include your username, the type of card used for your
purchase and the date of the charge.

Should you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to
contact us. We will be happy to help you.

Kind regards,

Jerry
Customer Care Team

It might be they are not bad at all. End of the month is pretty soon so it's not long time to wait.

Thats why for me I always use a Pre-Paid mastercard to avoid such problems they cant charge me for,any thing if the money is not there, and the only time I use the plastic is when I need to make a deposit or a fast payment for something....... Big Smile
I haven'nt had any real problems there other then having to go there alot of bs to verify my account, and I always get warnings from my zone alarm that after and during play on everst that theres a trojon hores downloader from there poker client... Aww crap!
try it, next time try running you re spywhare scan after you play there(deep scan)

Dear Branden,

My name is Katherine and I would like to thank you for contacting the
English Customer Care Team.

Our Operation Department investigated your matter immediately and came
to the conclusion that it was a false claim towards your part.

Furthermore, your account on Everest has been banned for security
reasons, and you will no longer be able to have an Everest poker account.

Kind regards,
Katherine

.....and i was using a pre-paid mastercard, and my balance before they charged me the 2nd time was $0.40

The balance on my card now is -$33.79.
Thats right, negative. This is only possible because the 2nd charge was a pre-authorized payment that exactly mirrors the real deposits i made. Pre-Authorized payments go through no matter what.

thats dodgy as. Good thing was a pre-paid card. I assume you have no liability to pay the negative bal ??

I've tried everest, haven't deposited there, but the software is pretty (very) crummy. I don't think I'd bother with it. Go PKR Big Smile

Thanks for the heads up. While I'm sure they don't try and rip people off, it doesn't sound good and isn't good for their image either.

Hey hey, pre-authorization was successfully removed from my bank account as they said so. So everest poker are not so bad after all, it's just their pre-authorization thing which is not good at all. Everything else seems to be going fine. Cheers Blink

So why is it that they sent me nothing as informative, or even as polite, when i had the same problem. It's because they know they are wrong here, and are making it very hard for me to do anything about it by banning me.

Thieves.
