Sent an e-mail to pokerstars support asking if there is any possibillity they can create a password protected 5 $ tournament for us bankrollmobbers ... we will see what they say Smile

------------
Thank you for your interest in offering private tournaments on PokerStars. At this time, the ability to create private tournaments on PokerStars isbeing offered as a premium feature only to those players who have earnedmore than 2,000 FPP over the lifetime of their account. You have earned 649.44 FPPs so far (including those you have already spent). We would be happy to extend to you this privilege once you have earned thefull 2,000 points. We hope to hear from you in the near future with a few more FPP earned. Good luck in our games, and thank you very much for playing here on PokerStars. Best regards, Vanja TPokerStars Support

Grrr ... then we will have to find someone who have earned 2 K fpp and are willing to put up a tournament for us on jokerstars, that cant be too hard can it ?
Smile

UMMM I have not seen anyone from BRM say this is ok!!! Has anyone like maybe Admin??? After all u are calling this BRM #1 Confused I think someone should check specially if u r using this site etc. Not to mention that maybe it should be on a site that BRM has given NDB to etc in the hoping that people deposit to benifit BRM. Just my opinion.

We don't mind if users set up tournaments like this, as long as it's done in a proper way, I suppose.
I would of course recommend new users to sign up at PokerStars by clickin on one of the black PokerStars banners we on the left/right side of BankrollMob.com - if you don't see it, try to refresh the page a few times. It gives you $50 free on a $50 deposit.

Regarding password protected buy-in tournaments, as long as there's not an added prize pool, you should be fine. If it's a freeroll or there's an added prizepool to the buyin, there's a huge chance the password will be on the frontpage of CNN minutes after it's released....

I will ask on monday if we can try to have a $1 buyin tournament set up at some site.

But how did you expect to get players to play it? If there's 20 players, then the prize pool will be $20, so not much money to be made.

Even with a $1 buy in its pointless, 200ppl to get a prize pool of $200 or do a freeroll??
If it going to be done id say min would have to be $5.
Its a great gesture etc but ill be suprised if this happens.
Dont forget its a lot more than just a buy in that you ned to attract a player.
I personnaly wont waste my time playing a $1 game, deep stack re-buy add on 10 min blinds, but im sure outhers will be happy to play.
So before trying to get a table try and sort out the game structure.

Well, there is another site (well, not as good as BRM Smile) that actually is having their online championships.
IMO it is a great idea. They have 10 different events. I´m not paying there, since I don´t like the site very much, but I would be glad to play in something like that organized by BRM!!!

I actually agree with bigfoot. Without at least having rebuy, the a $1 tournament will probably never start because it doesn't attract enough players. The idea is great, but we also have to face the fact that time is one thing that everybody has a limited amount of. Maybe making it a $1 buyin and with $1 rebuys it could be better, but still, I don't know...

It would be best if one of you could have it set up etc and at one the sites that we already support here on bankrollmob, then we might be able to include the tournament in one or two newsletters as well as in the news section, just to attract some attention.

It must not imo ... if someone can create a private tournament on a DESCENT poker site then he should write in this thread.

I think that the best buy-in would be 5$. Because it is an amount that everybody should be able to pay. 1$ is too low, the prizepool would be very low! And 10$ is an amount that could be too high for some players! SO 5$!!

I think we should play on FTP because many people form here has already account there because of no deposit bonus.
