My buddy was head-to-head at a cash table on Full Tilt. Opponent had K-K. My buddy had A-A. Opponent leads out pre-flop, a back and forth ensues, both players are all-in pre-flop.
Flop: A-9-2 rainbow Turn: K River: K
My buddy lost many hundreds of dollars on that nightmare.

A A
Player 1: Bets $10 Player 2: Calls I raised to $20, and both of them call...
Flop: K A Q
Player 1: Bets $50 Player 2: Raises $100 I called and went all in... Player 1: Also went all in
Turn: 6
River:Q
Player 1: K K Player 2: Q Q
It was a impossible hand... and the first time i saw something like it... That was the worst way to lose... all my money and my pride... I did destroy my keyboard after that hand... Gave me an excuse to buy a new one...
Hit quads on flop with my 33 another guy moves allin with QQ Flop was 373 easy call I tought .................... the rest I have put somewhere in my head and don't want it 2 come out but speaks 4 itself
Hiya all this is my first contribution but after reading the bad beat stories i thought i might get a bit of understanding here today. I've had bad days - ranted, raved (and being a girl cried) but today is the worst ever. I'm a wee fish who loves poker and am trying so hard to move up the stakes. Yesterday was a glorious day. 3 Final tables of MTTs a 6th, an 8th and eventually a win + an 11th place in a tough 90player SNG, 4 wins at 9 handed SNGs & 2 places - a GREAT day. Today has been hell - the worst ones here for your bad beats
SNG 9 handed game one on the bubble me badly behind on chips BB has AA all in me on button AA all in he got the flush
game 2 again on the bubble me in cutoff i hit a straight and am all ready heavily committed mid player calls all in well if i don't go for it i am down to 400 chips i have a good hand A-5 straight on the River mid player hits the flush i'm out
rebuy tourney - such mental games but i love them (maybe past tense now ) i was struggling a bit with people going all in for mega amounts on every hand. i came to the table relatively happy after just doubling up to 14000 but watched my chips dwindle away with no decent hands to a paltry 7400.antes are at 150 blinds at 1800 i need to do something. I get an AK go in. perfect flop massive chip leader goes in for 15000. it's a rainbow board and i have top pair top kicker and this guys been going in with rubbish since he hit the table losing 1000's so i think ok and shove in he has KQ. I do win and my stack rises to 22000. next hand hit JJ win again my stack up to 32000. Now i've been struggling to get in to the serious money partly because i get a little daunted by the huge amounts of chips that fly around the speed of it all,the bullying and sometimes downright unpleasantness of it all BUT i made my mind up about a month ago to push for the higher spots & be more aggressive when needed. SO.......
(healthy stack - but big stacks are HUGE - only 24 left in comp 16 pay.) next hand i get A [ 9 i'm on the button so i think be brave and knock in 1200 everyone folds except the BB & the guy i beat to get my moderate stack in the earlier hand
the flop comes in 9 A 7
great for me 2 good pairs so i stick to the programme & knock in an "it's mine" 6000
the BB folds but my adversary from earlier goes in 31000 15 seconds of agony i had 2 pairs beaten earlier today in another game AA's & JJ's but i think he's just mad because i nicked his stash 2 hands ago i have a good hand i wann get in to the real money not just the last place these risks have to be taken to do that so i put my stack in
he has 8 5 on first glance i wasn't overly worried
the turn comes 3 i've now also nearly got a flush draw
and then the River is 6
that's me out and devastated. Am i wrong in thinking this guy was Nuts going in on his hand for 31000? Was i wrong for shoving in my stack at this point.
from my perspective it was a case of i have a better than good hand. i want to have a shot at a good money spot. if this guy shoots down this hand he'll be shooting me down for the rest of the game. it could be a long time until i get another hand as good.
was i wrong in my thinking? And how on earth do i play if this situation arises again?
Sorry it's a long un folks. I'll really appreciate any constructive comments. Any terrible ones can't make me feel worse than that last hand so if you must go for it - i have a full bottle of Chivas to get me thru.......................
Please tell me what am i to do? i get bullied so badly but i can stand my own for the most part. my avatar is now a bloke to try & stop the men who think women can't play targeting me - i was a lizard but he was none to popular either. As Ninja guy i'm definitely getting a bit more respect.
