The first reason was to be rich ofc $_$ but after all it became a nice hobby nice relax and some half part work as well .. The bigest goal should be probably to get on that high level so i will earn enuf without working .. but poker is also a lot of funs with friends and kind of adrenaline !

Umm my bestfriend would always talk about it, figured I'd just try it out. And the rest is history. I started playing on Party Poker I miss that site ( US banned it ) so I dont play there any more. I always loved their Blackjack. I'm just a degenerate gambler.

All sports, games etc... they provide a nice feeling, sometimes even addictive, so my question is, how is the transition from a game that has nothing to do with money, and a game that has money involved. Do you care at all about it, do you prefer the feeling over the money... how is it for you?

At first It was just for play money, then i learned about these no deposit bonuses, tried 'em and it was kinda good with money involved, don't get me wrong as I have been playing cards with money for quite some time now (not poker but local card games) so i'm familiar with gambling.
One thing I didn't like is to my computer hardware being "overkill" for the poker software as I have spent lots of cash with my computer hardware. just try to check the 8800GTX which I bought last year

I guess my love for the game started about two years ago.. Learned the game from some of my mates and started to play more and more with them.. Now we more rarely play together as i like poker a bit more than they do and they love the crappy online game world of warcraft too much !
Atleast im playing with other mates and online now. Even tho i wish there was a way i could know the players im playing online with a bit more, makes the game much more fun to be able to chat with players unless it's people nagging and being a bitch cuz u beat them at a pot.. But hey guess thats online poker..
And offcorse there is the adrenaline rush you get when winning that sick pot or making that psycho call with the bottom pair and crap kicker against the guy who is so aggressive and totally just bluffing at you with nothing. I mean the feeling of being so correct , its just nothing like it.. To be able to figure out that the dude holding two cards you cant see, has got absolutely nothing and win the hand with a smalish pair or high card even. I just love it, and i love the game of poker.

haha for me poker (mostly live poker) is all about the social interaction and jus playing.. its so fun to play with your friends on online with your buddies its really exciting cuz really anything can happend and jus keeps your mind working.. great game

hahah it was a long time ago.. i was with my buddy and my parents we went to this cottage in the states and we were talking about playing poker and i was like yea yea i no how to play (never played.. had no idea how to play) and i bluffed my way through the whole thing.. i didnt come in dead last but pretty close lol... but yea after that i was like hey this was fun. (we were betting with pennies nickles and dimes) so i watched people play and learned it for myself and jus learned through trail and error pretty much, learned by exposure...

Experience I guess, is a great teacher. Some get it hard and some easier, but it is still a lesson for life. That is, if you are fortunate enough to pay attention.

yea ive been told, and like to think, that im a quick learner... its just my personalilty i tend to think about things, some times to much, and find flaws in them or how things work i always have to break things down to their mechanics and work outsides lol... (kinda like that duplicate poker thing lol.. the second you said the idea behind it that way around it came to mind)

That´s a great quality to be a quick learner. It means you can adapt very easily. Kind of like poker for example... sometimes you have to be flexible and adapt to your opponents playing style, so that you can have that extra advantage. Player who always have the same style and never change, are doomed to lose.

yea because im still a yougin i find myself questioning my style cuz i keep hearing that haveing a certain style is important and blah blah.. so i tend to think mayb some times the way i play is reckless in the minds of others but slowly ive become to trust my style more and more and the fact that i know my own limits...

The crazy thing about poker is that not only should you think about what you are doing, but also what your opponent thinks that you are doing, and from that principle is born all the strategies, maneuvers etc...
Like they say, you can learn how to play NL Holdem in one day, but it takes a lifetime to master it!
of course the money is the big reason for me i am so lazy to work a lot like some of my friends, so i choose poker but if i don't like poker i don't play even if i can win a lot of money so this is the work but i like it...
