how much offline experience did you gather, before you went online?

So how long have you been playing live (with friends etc.) before you startet your Online-Career? Did you think it was important to first gather some experiences offline?
I was playing about 2 years with some of me friends and me family in little rounds. I think it was good, because in my opinion you get the basic experiences faster "offline", because you see the reactions of your "oponents".
happy posting
(I hope this isn't doubly, didn't found any poll like this in the search-funktion)
I played a bit of live poker, just at the dining room table with my brother. Dunno if that really counts tho lol. Never started playing for money till I started playing online. PokerStars was the first site I played at. In 2005 I turned $1800 into $7200 (American). At the time, with the exchange rate and recovering my investment, I was up $6000 Canadian I have not since been able to replicate such a run...mind you, have I ever tried
They were all broke very quick(my friends) and had 2 steal from their parents 2 play poker with me when their parents found out aboutit, they robbed a pizza shop when they lost that 2, they robbed a bank and still are in jail now! It is all my fault
------------ No we played poker with only 32 cards from the 7-A and probably all kinds of added rules in the beginning when we played a couple of times I found my self on the winning site a couple of times there was 1 of my best friends who said come we try out a online pokersite we started on everest with the shastas and build a bankroll up 2 13$ in a few weeks but in 2 or 3 bad days we all lost it so he tried to deposit a small amount on everest but a week later there wasnt still nothing in his account talking about 4 years ago than he did deposit on pokerstars and their was where I started my online career at first we played 2 gether but it was only a matter of time till I opened my own account

I began on line playing for play money. After awhile I obtained my first one not deposit bankroll. When I lost my free bankrol I did my first deposit. I always play live poker with my friends and after 2 years playing online and with my friends, I played in the casino for the first time. And it was a very good experience.

Played a bit 5card draw as a child and in my youth(with some strange rules). So i started the newer poker games more or less online after watching it on TV.

I played a little when I was in the navy, many years ago, but my recent experience is online apart from two live tournaments, in which I came nowhere. I like online better.

I started online about 1,5 years ago and I still never have played live poker. I started with freerolls. After two months I got my first no deposit bankroll. After that I have played allmost every day poker online.
Was playing live form time to time for like half a year before trying it online first. Kind of tremendous difference. Now, half year later, the live play with friends didn't change at all, whole table limping to see every flop etc. kind of funny
