Having pocket aces doesn't mean "of course go all in both times".
You don't give enough details to analyse what happened.
When did you go all in? Preflop?
What was your position?
How large was your stack?
How many callers?
What did the winner have?

Losing with AA happens too much unfortunately :S, but ...you need to give us some details what happened what was the situation

Fold the rockets preflop, then you will no longer lose money with them. Blink

Lesson learned: If someone bet into you before the flop, and you have AA, don't just call. Raise it up.

87 $ losing with AA ... it happends and not only with you ... about 5 weeks ago i was playing in a land casino ... 8 players at the table ... small blind 2 euro , big blind 4 euro ... 1 person with JQ suited raise to 24 euro ... i with AA reraise 124 euro , 3th person call with QQ and the JQ calls also ...on the flop 5 5 J , 1 person check and i go all in ... about 160 euro more ... get called and lose the game because on the turn J again and on the river 9 . sometimes it's just bad luck ... that's all

All in preflop is always a coinflip ...

Its not nice at all to loose with AA, but there is no 100% winner hand at poker, and you have got to have that in mind each time you play. I lost several times with AA and started doing all-in pre-flop each time it appeared after the loosing. A few times later, i saw i could be loosing good money because of that way of playing and i returned to the slow play with AA pre-flop, but it is unpredictable to say what is going to happen next time i have AA.

Do you actually understand the meaning of a coinflip? lol
For example: AA vs 105o; thats a coinflip with over +80% for aces? Big Smile

Losing with AA happens, It happened to me, but they are more the chances of winning that of losing. I agree with what schmoyster says "Having pocket aces doesn't mean "of course go all in both times". There are several things that you have to evaluate.

Pocket aces are the hardest hand to fold. Period. It's no wonder so many people lose with them lol. But once you have the discipline to fold bullets, you then know you can lay down any hand you think may be beat.

Instead of instantly raising all-in preflop, make some aggressive raises. If there are no previous raises, then raise 4 or 5 times the BB. This lets people know you have a strong hand and to get out tha way if they have weak s**t in their hands. If there are any raises, then reraise 3x the initial raise. Same deal...you're showing your hand strength. 3-bet preflop if need be...and depending on your stack size, it may require you to go all-in at this point. But try not to just shove it all right away. At least give yourself the chance to out-play your opponent(s). AA might be the best starting hand in the game, but if you shove preflop you're basically leaving the outcome up to chance Cool

yeas having AA can be the worst hand.learn to take it easy.raise hard try to get the play downto heads up,and read the flop from there.we just remember beats with AA cauz they stick out more.

In omaha AA is not such a good hand.

AA is the worst hands because if u get it u can lose a lot of money because most of the times u will finish in a all-in pre-flop and then u just need luck whit the all table call to win the hand

I dont know about anyone else, but If I have pocket Aces, I never go all in, raise and reraise YES, all-in NO WAY. I want to see the 3rd ace before I contemplate that. In one day I was lucky enough to have pocket Ace's 12 times across 8 tables, 9 I won, 1 I folded and 2 I lost. This may sound stupid, but one thing I take into account, is how much money or chips my opponent has before I go all-in, because for some reason, no matter how good a hand someone has, if its a all-in pre-flop and someone calls, 95% of the time the one with the most chips wins, yet when the cards show, chip leader is behind. Try to observe it when you next play, it is interesting to watch Confused
