Help - Bankroll management!  0
HeY

I have been playing quite a few no-Deposite bonuses for a while now.
But! I get to excited, and lose my whole roll on $20 SnG's and tournies.

Atm. I have about $10 on Victor Chandler, that I would like to see grow a bit Blink
I see myself as an average(Maybe a bit over average) player, I just ALLWAYS lose the preflop all-ins :S

But yeah. If someone got some good advices on Bankroll management, let me know - as I'm really starting to play more serious Smile Big Smile

dont risk ur whole roll. swings are too great. u can play great poker and lose. to play $20 sngs you need at least $300- $400. build it slowly. i would maybe play 1-2$ mtts your chances of cashin well (the top ten preferably) if yer games good enuff will come. patience, timing, managing your stack and what stacks to get involved with, as well as startin hands (obviously), opponents hand ranges and most of all position. IT AINT EASY THIS GAME. HA HA. all the best. let me know how u get on..... Thumbs Up

1. Try to multitable the lowest limits at VC, four tables should be enough and its really not hard to handle it.
2. Join the tables only with the MINIMUM amount required.
- and leave it, when you have more than three buyins, or 10-15% of your bankroll. (just to save your winnings)
3. Avoid stupid preflop allins, thats bad poker. Only do it with AA or KK, when you get re-raised massively.
4. Move to higher limit, when you have more than 50 - 100 buyins. It is always safer, when you have more buyins, but you 'll have to decide, how risky you want to play. BUT i wouldn't recommend to wait too much with that.
5. Play only premium hands and position orientated. (search for pro vids, if you dont know how to do it, or aritcles.)

Good luck at the tables Smile

Don´t play SnG.
Play cash games, until you raise your bankroll to $250 at minimum, And acquire more experience.
And have patience, that the patience is the mother of all the virtues.

it seems to me that you would like to play like a pro already ... try the lowel levels and go step by step ... do not try to jump because the fall is so much harder .

With just 10 bucks you can play NL2 cash games. You have 5 buy ins. Move up to the next limit if you have 20 buy ins for it.

Don´t play SnG, cash game will be better for you! Get some money, learn learn learn and learn more but first of all be patient and you will be a shark !

argg.. I feel you're pain.

I raised my PKR account to $400 two nights ago (in one sitting from $50 -> $400 lol)

the next day I played better (i.e: respected my bankroll) then last night I lost a little, went tilt and got it down to $50 in about an hour lol

now it's $65 again.. And it's such a mental struggle to play low and slowly get back to where i was a day ago and not just go f it - NL100 lets go ! haha

In my Opinion if you will play Sit&Go then you need 100 Buy-ins and if you will play Cash then You will need 500 Buy-ins thats means whit 10$ you can play sit&gos of 0.10$ and if you will play cash then ou can play in micro limits 0.01/0.02$ when you have 50 or more Blink Good luck and have fun

I play mostly cashgame. i play multitable and think, that 25 buyins for each table you play are very safe. i play 2ct/4ct NL holdem on Victor Chandler and always 4 tables. My bankroll is about 600$ and like this it's hard to become broke. Problem is only, that you need a long time to go up in the levels. Smile

$600br playing NL4? That really is tight, but if it works for you then fair play.

I'm really not a fan of nursing small bankrolls, i tend to go for it at a level I'm comfortable playing at. If you think yourself to be an above average player (don't we all? lol) then short stack NL5/10 till your roll is healthy again.

With $10 your safest game is Fixed Limit 2c/4c if you know how to play it. A good bankroll would be about 300 Big Bets, with $10 you only have 250 but it is enough to beat that level. The minimum to play NL2 should be $50. With $35-$40 you should move up to 10c, $70+ you move to 20c, ...

Some people just ignore fixed limit, but in the micro limits it can be more profitable than No Limit if you play within your bankroll safety.

An example:
With a bankroll of $50 you can play:
-NL2 with 25buyins with a minimum of 20 required
-FL 5c/10c 500BB with a minimum required of 300

In those levels your winrate should be about:
-10+bb/100hands playing NL
-3+BB/100Hands playing FL
(bb-big blinds; BB-big bets)

So with the $50 you will win about 20c/100h in NL and 30c/100h in FL.
If you grow your BR to $70 you will not have a safe move up on NL, you need about 25-30buyins to make a safe move up, but with 350BB you can start playing FL 10c/20c, so you will be even more profitable playing FL.

Most people don't like FL, some say it's coward poker, but that's fishy talking. It's just different, more technical, more action since you get profitable odds many times, etc... True a fake step wont take your stack, but if you waste many bets it can cost you badly.

With a $10 on iPoker, IMO, FL is the game to play.

Thanks for your replies, guys Worship

Atm. I have changed to play on PKR, as I got the tree tickets ($5, $10 and $10).

With the tickets I won a Double up $5 ($10 profit), and one of the $10's ($20 profit) + I lost one of the tickets...

Played some cash table, and made my $30 into $37, but lost some on a $5 SnG (Stupid! Didn't listen to your suggestions), and lost $2 on a bad beat, at a cash table. - Back to $30..

Bad beat: ??
Had AK, and raised, other guy reraised - flop: AAQ_94 - Pretty much rainbow.., Check-Raised, other guy went all-in, and that son of a bitch had QQ lucky pocket fucker Sad

....................................................

And no. I know I can't just go pro in a second, but actually - I'm not trying to either.
I love this game, and with a higher bankroll, the more fun I'll get (At least I think so)...

AAAAND, It wouldn't be too bad, to cashout $100 once in a while, to buy some W**d.. lol Tongue

Usually there is nothing below NL2. But maybe some rooms have fixed limit with 1c and 2c blinds.

PKR only offers NL2 as the lowest, which is where OP is playing now. I think maybe they now have beginner rooms which are NL1, not sure what the restrictions are though.. I know i can't play them lol
