i had the feeling that i would lose the hand from start but ok ... i just played him . I had AA .... raise 1/3 of my stack ... have 2 calls ... one called with J 8 ... flop Q 10 9 ... i check ... the others check also ... turn ... A ... i go all inn ... get a call from the guy with J 8 off course and the other fold ... river ... 6 ... Did i need to follow my feeling and let this hand go or did i do ok by playing this hand ?

U were doomed anyway by the LAG spastics of the J 8. He flopped second nuts the A could have been a higher str8 nuts.
It was the worst card for U.
In this case on such a focking connected and wet board, make a feelerbet. he prolly calls U instead of raising. I would have checked the Turn when u hit the set. and see what he does.
in case : it's very hard to fold since U couldnt have no idea he had J8 but on the turn KJ was a possible hand imho.
Tough laydown, but doable. I would fold if he pushes all in on the turn if U check in FPos.
As above u shoulda checked turn. In fact there is nothing more to say cos whats written above covers it perfect so i'm gonna sign this off. Unlucky-ish.

Don't raise 1/3 of your stack. Never! You are commited to the hand anyway if you do, so push or fold preflop, if a "normal" raise would be 1/3 of your stack. With AA it is an easy push.

I think if u are raising 1/3rd of your stack, better go allin preflop with your AA, since its very difficult to fold AA later so if you are gonna go allin anyways why not go in preflop and have some fold-equity.
in this case if i had raised 1/3rd i would have gone allin had it been a ring game but in a tournament if you are close to bubble with a decent stack against a big stack i'll consider folding (if the guy raises after minbet at turn) depending on the player otherwise i'll go allin.

This happens a lot, might be difficult at first, but when you become more pro it is easier to do this. - Folding a three of a kind against a small chance of a straight that is.
