Last night I was playing a little tournment with some friends, I was playing real bad and almost gone when raise all in 5xBB Button with A6 suited and got called with a Q2 off suited? He won with 2 2! How can I make my friends understand that Poker isn't LOTTO???? I'm sick of loosing to this kind of players, maybe it's me who's wrong

Errr, ok so your blaiming your mates for your bad play "I was playing real bad and almost gone" so I guess he has chips to call you and thinks your pushing with anythin as you are a bad player. BUt there is no info to actually comment on that hand or play etc, so for now id say you are all as bad as each outher.

i remember when i pushed preflop allin the other day with AJ and the big stack called me with 84 and won. (his reasoning was proper though; he realized i wouldnt play a big pair like that...)
however
for many a homegame is just a good oppertunity to get drunk and play some cards with friends. if you want to make money: get a job. if you want to play serious poker: join a pokerclub or something.
You will win later... If you tell them that poker isn't lotto you will have less chances to win. And about A6s... i think like mattel - you are doing it wrong... you should read some books for example Harrington about Hold'em

Playing among friends everyone thinks you are bluffing and wont let you get away with it. People call and bet very light in homegames. So if you want to win homegames, best strategy is to play TAG. Keep pots small untill you hit....but when you hit....valuebet valuebet valuebet. I would raise A6s 2,5-3 BB on btn.

I used to play poker a fair bit with my friends often in school between lessons. This was when I was completely new to the game. Sometimes we played for money but rarely. I never won.
Then I started playing online playmoney. Then real money. And then I got good. I also play live games in uni poker society and the standard there is very high.
I once played poker with my family not for money. This was after I learned to play but I found I couldn't beat them. They kept making stupid moves and calling my bluffs with A high. And even when I played some friends for a small amount of money I found it odd to play complete amateurs. I reasoned that I couldn't beat them because I was too skilled in poker, because I played at a higher level.
Now I know that's rubbish. If you're a better player you should win. There's no excuse. I recently played some friends of mine in a pub game. As I expected the standard was lower than I was used to. But like all good poker players I adapted to their style. If they were donk calling stations I let them catch me bluffing once. Then I got them all in against my nuts with just bottom pair. The players who were loose with their chips but never bet pot sized bets even with a brilliant hand I would call down with top pair low kicker or chase the draw knowing they would call a pot raise on the river.
I now win two out of three games against these suckers. I'd win them all if not for the amazing luck they've got against me. Still it keeps them interested if they think they can win.

two nights ago I was invited for dinner in my friend home. the 9 years old son of my friend played a freeroll, (on an italian poker site, with the 1st place payed with a weekend in an hotel) instead of the father and came 14th!! he is still in elementary school, doesn't know odds, pot odds and stuff like this ... i saw it with my eyes and i couldn't believe it
I know italian player are donks like me but the child is italian too.

ok, first things first:
I know that A 6 suited isn t a good hand, I deserved to loose and I didn t told u what happened before but thats not the question. I might be the biggest bluffer ever and everyone at the table may know that, but NO ONE CALLS A BLUF WITH Q 2 off, am I right? Every big strong hand I had I raised, the only bad raise I make gets the only call in the night.

hahhahah,sukker,a home game for how much money.i play every sunday night at home but we play for cash,one table no limit one table limit.way more fun.people only play tourneys properly if its for big bucks,10,20,30,50,just aint enouggh anymore.A6 anyway,hahahhaha,clown.and calling a bluff preflop,which i assume happened,is that really a bluff,or is bluffing after the flop.what site you play on.and you screenname.

DUDE I WAS PLAYING AT MY HOUSE 1 TIME WITH FRIENDS AND I PUSHED ALL IN PREFLOP AFTER A BIG RAISE AND ANOTHER GUY CALLS SO WE HAD 3 IN THE POT 25 DOLLARS A PIECE AND I HAD AA THE ORIGNAL RAISER HAD QQ AND THE LAST GUY TO CALL HAD 23 GUESS WHO WON WITH A BOAT IT IS POKER GRAB A TISSUE

If you want to teach your friends, you have to play half way decent yourself. And if you say you played badly, there is little chance that your frineds will listen to you.
