whats the name for this strategy?  0
hello,

i get confrontated oftener with a n annoying move in low-stakes SnG or DoN
bookstyle you try to steal from Button or Smallblind if all are folding to you but there is an enormous gain of all in reraises by the BigBling ..in early limits too
whats the name of this crap?

Sounds like a Donk "re-steal" to me and depending on what read/stats I have on the player decides what action i take.

The re-steal is a good weapon to have in your arsenal, i would't over use it though and very rarely with a push early in a SnG.

Yep. If you open from a clear steal position you should allways know what to do, when the blinds repop you. Their play is a resteal.

yeah i know resteal but it was usually 3-4 of my raise.. not all in ( and they werent commited, short, M<8 or else...) they just bet all in... and i dont try to steal with crap or every time i get the button..
but call this with high SC, A rag, picture cards is very loose

U try to lightsteal obv.
He thinks Ur weak and he Xbets U.

Best way is : Make it look like a steal and when he 4bets U just 5 bet or reshove. That's obv ofc only recommended when U have a decent hand imho, or u are making a donkey move Big Smile

Just try to steal less against such player. Only 'Steal' when U have the cards to come over the top

i disagree. i like to build a loose blind stealing image at low limit and during mid-game tighten up those hands, they are more likely to call and you can win some nice pots

At low stakes, this strategy is commonly known as the SHUT YOUR EYES AND HOPE LIKE HELL STRATEGY..

I play completely the opposite.

Whilst the blinds are low I play tight and create an image of being a very conservative player. When teh blinds rise and the pots are larger they are less inclined to call any moves you make.

i dont know the name of it...
but i use it a lot
but not with all 2 cards (82 for example...forget it)..
but.....if all others and i'm at the button and i have a nice game, lets say like, 98 or k9, probably ill try to steal the blinds, it depends onde the player i'm trying to steal...

have a nice day

With midle/high blinds, when the average player has about less than 25bb resteals are made by going allin when you have a hand ahead of the stealers range. In this stage the most common ways to increase your stack is to steal blinds, better just only restealing.

oh i found the initiator Blink
p***********y tells this thing as stealraise and says this is the way to kick stealers ass( with the correct cards, but i belive, they do it with any 2 Blink ).
but i put a small notice to the players, that they are doing this and i wait for their move if i have suitable pocketpairs

In a blind vs blind situation a lot of players go bananas. Smile

So true, its a huge blow to ego to let SB take your BB LOL. You must BET BET BET...then all the sudden you got half your stack in with 10 9o LOL.
