no problem to loan money to a good friend, but never for gambling. - i totaly agree with that. But if my freined lose that money what i gave, friend or not i want back
Posted by mrnugger: some time ago i have loaned some money to a friend , i was winning in a casino and he was losing ... still waiting on a part off that , my wife is a bit upset because off that so i am wondering who would loan money to a friend knowing that it is for playing poker or whatever games in a casino .
I have given people money to play poker with on many occasions.
Some have been trusted friends who have returned it at a later date, some I have given I have never got back.
Being a forum owner, I do not see it as a loan, merely a return for their loyalty. If they choose to repay it back to me later that is up to them but I would never chase anyone for money they owe. If by giving them money it would affect me in any way then I would simply refuse, but if I have it and it makes no odds to me if its in my account or not, then they can have it.
So far I would say I have given out about $300 for people to play poker with and I've got about half that amount back. So you could say I've gained trustworthy friends for $150. A small price to pay in the long term. Especially as some of those people have earned me well in excess of that through signing up to links I've given them..

I wouldn't loan money to anyone. For a close friend or family membed I would give it. I wouldn't care if I didn't get it back. Anyone else will have to find their own friends

i have no problem staking good players as part of a deal. actually i have a few hundred staked out like that right now.
my friends all play on their own dime; but i would be ready to spare some after a good cash on my side. i also would borrow smallish amounts for a homegame or something.

Once i have done it to, and it was in a similar ocasion. Small amounts, i went to the casino with 20€ and make it to 150€ at StarWars slots. A friend was loosing at Roullete and came to me asking to play half-by-half with him in other machines. I ended up agreeing because i was already a bit drunk and finished the night loosing all the amount i won at the beggining. In the other day, he only gave me half the money i lost, because of the agreement. I was upset but it was my fault. His part, i only loan him because i knew he would pay!

i would loan money to my trusted friends for playing poker only if he's a winning player but if he's a losing player i would never loan money to him as there are slim chances of getting it back
