When you aks for low limit did you meant low fixed limit? Or low no limit?
If its fixed limit shokaku's recommendation is a great one, I would add also Small Stakes Hold'em, Sklansky, Miller Malmuth but it is a bit more advanced than the Lee Jones one.
For no limit, Harrington on cash games, Dan Harrington. Never read it, but have read the Harringrion on hold'em (tournament oriented) and I am pretty confident it follows the greatness of that book.
Getting Started in Hold 'em, Ed Miller is a good starting book for all round holdem: NL, FL, SnG/MTT.

A nice post to ignore. More respect? For me more respect means only one thing: they will respect when you bet, fold and your best hands will not be paid. In low limit you have a hand, it's easy: bet it. You will get paid most of the time. It will cost you some nasty bad beats, but a bad beat has only one meaning: you probably played well and you opponent is willing to pay you with an underdog hand.
And more, low limits is the place to start. To be a good player you will have to learn with your mistakes, and they are cheap in low limits, you lose a few cents and the weak field will make it easy to recover.
In poker you win by playing against weaker players, not against good ones.
