As some of you (PKR players) will know last weekend was the start of a gathering for Poker Players in Leeds West yorkshire (UK)
I succsessfully organised and ran an event wich saw a Turnout of 62 players the weekend was a total succsess and with over £6,000 in the weekends prizepool it saw some poker as well as some good old drinking, it was without doubt a great weekend,
Why the hell am i ranting on about it?
Becuase I have set up another meet this time in Febuary 2010.
I am hoping that some of you would like to attend currently i have 20 players wishing to attend and i open the invite to all of you, there will be four games
26th Febuary game 1 holdem £30 Buy in 26th Febuary game 2 holdem £30 buy in
27th Febuary is a casino torney this has £2,000 added
28th Febuary game 3 Omaha £30 buy in 28th Febuary Main event holdem £50 buy in
I have secured a Hotel for all players directly NEXT to the casino (gala casino)
anyone wishing to attend please let me know and i will provide you with futher details and costing for hotel and a code to book in with.

morning folks.
WOW this is immensejust a quick update from me becuase im off to try and rinse some lost cash back,
got here friday half cut already no food indside me not knowing to expect we went to zokys hotel hes one crazy dude, all the way from bosnia to play some cards..epic..
so we get to the casino register i think i spent £10 instantly on black jack and lost just as fast (rigged)
the drinks kept coming guiness FTW some of them was doing shots at 6pm unreal stuff! play some cash got up quite well best hand i held QA in mid pos a reg was in he hand flop QA2 /shippppp he flips 22 oh f**k turn blank river A yeahhh babbby /shipppppppppppppppp
so we have a SnG 20 of us had arrived so we got one going upstairs, i went out first unable to see futher than my nose i then decided to drink some more and have some more cash game /bosh i wasnt going anywhere with my 72o play break even i left woke up in a toilet as the manager was trying to wake me up this was 2am..
spent the next 9 hours throwing up
saturday got to the casino met a few people then this was it 62 players arrived 4:30pm we are underway (gaz on coke) my god how can i run so bad im out first i made my excuses and left the table the game went on untill like 11;30pm then we had a speed game (switched to red bull) couple more SnG games for gaz who ran a little deeper in the speed i got knocked out in both SnG games vs set of 4s to my top pair (so damn rigged its retarded)
HA HA dan and jabba on a FT HU epic stuff epic.
dan took 1st jabba took 2cnd.
oh and as for dan well,,, the dude is sick ,on a csash table he slow rolls j4 with a 448 flop, 'sorry for what im gonna do gaz' he said pre flop. see prev hand he bet me off a hand when i truely had him crushed so i was a little like hmmm Wink anyway i blink a ten on the river bosh ship it i know he as nothing.. yeah flip j4 looooooooool. wp sir..
disco came down for the opening game may come bk today. everyone has been great speak soon i need to go win some money from some chinese people /gg

I am so sad, the weekend is other and now 12 months untill the next meet, I couldn't really enjoy myself as i was trying to keep everyone happy so my poker was just retarded at some parts, its been great GALA CASINO have been so good big shout out to jon on saturday night he really is a torney organsier PRO, The casino was really good and in a minute you will see why,
all players where emailed about a buffet costing £20 per head per day i had this booked for 70 persons as this is the amount right up unitll the week had confirmed for attendance, then some started to drop, to rectify this i ajusted the list and emailed the casino we agreed an intial fee for the dealrs and buffet for the event and most players agreed to pay both, saturday night we di collect a fair few buffet costs wich was great and ty guys appreciated, by the end of sunday we had nobody touching the casino buffet at all and it went back untouched, (ish)
at the end of the sunday we was £1,300 down The casino was at a loss and looking for me to pay it all in full.
Guys IF anyone DOES set up a event and want advice PLEASE DO NOT ORDER A BUFFET this put a major major downer on my weekend and it affected me quite bad thankyou to angler who rang me this morning and offered to lend me the cash if i needed it however i got it sorted,
Putting this aside the weekend was damn great!! total hit, PKR_Danski PKR_Jabba big shout out to these two homeboys they came they saw they /pwned WP guys it
Rick Dacey from stacked gave me a few helpful tips and ran rather well IMO altho we lost him at one point for around 2 hours (cash tables)
Big Shout out to Matt without u dude i dunno how i would have kept sane,.

Anywhay ran deep in the main event but then got BAD BEAT my AK limp under the gun was shoved on by JaseG in late pos with TT i obv am looking for this (level7 thinking guys! catch up) i call

so sick. Anyway it was a grwat weekend i wish to thank congradulate everyone who attended the meet all the dealers and staff said this was the best crowd they have ever had,
i hope to see many of you next year i did mention that i shall be looking at things a little closer and dont wrry there will be no bloody buffet,

A few Qs. 1. How much is it a night at the hotel. 2. Times 3. Is it just for those living in Leeds/West yorkshire 4. What games are they, stacks,levels,6man 10man etc. 5. Is it ok to bring a small party. 6. Can i get rakeback. 7. Does the hotel do sunday meals, as in a roast...and 1 for dunotra can you order extra pillows.

Hotel cost: based on £120 for 3 nights PER ROOM twin/double/single , however im working on a deal atm to lower this.
Times there will be two games on the friday one at 4pm start and finishing around 9/10pm. then a second game at around 10:30pm till 2am (ish) second day (saturday) casino game 2k added- start 8pm till late Sunday- game 1 (omaha) starting at 12 noon till 4/5pm game 2 Main event 6pm- till finish
stack levels will be arranged via the casino they are drawing up a plan and more info will be available shortly.
No ANYONE can come, i had a guy from bosnia at the last meet!!
ten man seating thats all i can tell you untill i get confirmation of blind levels yes you can bring people thats no problem, just let me know how many so i can let the casino put out extra seating. we can seat up to 150 players
the hotel can cook anything you like it is attached to TFI fridays restraunt, when we was last there we pulled an all nighter at the casino and then went for breakfast there highly reccomended.
can you get rakeback?-- hmm tell you wot. win a game and /bosh there u have your rakeback wit interest.
The hotel provide you with extra pillows as well as the 4 pillows allready on your bed

LOL yeah he did real well got to two final tables then they chopped on the final table bit dissapointing but all the same good fun!
yeah ricky did well and greg. myser and sirmyser- didnt make it to the event and pulled out unfortunatly.

Thats great Gaz, £120 for 3 nights is a good deal as it is, its a bit to far away for me to giv a "yes" or "no" but will be putting the dates in my diary, nice work. Thanks for the feedback.
