Butcher Shop "camoed" as Poker Tables  0
Man, do I love this game or what? Aww crap! I've been defending this abstract form of entertainment since I was knee-high to a grass-hopper. Took me 8 yrs to finally get online and risk actual Dollar and trust them to get where they need to be. Through trial and error, or error and trial as it should be, I find a site that hasn't screwed me like the others... i.e. FoolTilt, PokerScaars. I find the holy-virtual-felt layden w/fish of all sizes. They're everywhere! Big Smile Then one day, the day I look forward to, the transiton to a comfortable, no pressure to hurry, where onlythose w/true bankroll management skills convert... the ring games. The first session was incredible. Two hands and I've tripled up. I'm out! Go to another table and my real session begins. After about 18 hands, 4 of which I had taken part in, I noticed the sad reallity... nearly 50% of the pots were chopped. What does that mean exactly? We're getting screwed. Angry I can understand maybe 1 out of 9, or even 1 out of 6 but nearly every-other hand? OK, maybe it's just one of those things that you notice when you're looking for tells online. I just didn't realize that I would notice the "dealer" before the other players at the table. Back to a s-n-g. I'll try again later. So I do and it's a carbon copy of the session before. Five percent per pot builds up after a while and I think my "card-room" knows it. I didn't even get a gold card! Am I alone on this? Thumbs Down Thumbs Up ???

OP

Err.. started off as a nice post but really went off the rail. If making a rigged statement, please provided ridiculous amounts of sample data to actually even out what you are seeing.

Yeah that quad aces vs royal flush was too sick, couldn't believe it when i first saw it, statistical chances of that happening are so miniscule. And i think that answers the original posters statement,... anything can happen in poker. It's funny how the human mind remembers all the crazy hands, the wild bad beats... but never remembers any of the countless boring normal hands we've all played we're nobody hits the board & high card ends up taking it down. Is that also rigged?

Its called rake buddy.
They rake like 5% of every pot.
Sngs they take the number next to the buy in
ie $1.00 + .10c SnG
they take the 10 c and keep it and the 1 dollar goes into the prize pool.
They do this at casino's aswell. It's how they make money, you don't really expect them to give you such service for free do you?
