He is a huge donk, I hate when people say he's 'genius' or 'brilliant' - He's just got more money than sense IMHO. Hope he goes busto altogether. Give someone else the limelight for a change.

In modern day poker, there is a trend towards GAMBLING when playing this game of chance. I understand that you old school mathematicians will never recognize the value of the variable "donk" in your algorithms, but just banding together and cursing "the donk" is not going to make it stop factoring into the equation.

Are you sure about that, I always thought he got a huge amount of money from his rich parents...
I am not 100% as I really don't follow poker pro's
However, I was reading a magazine (poker mag) a couple months back that was doing a story on him, apparently started out playing online poker whilst at Uni, built a small roll of around $50 to around $200K over the holiday period, or something like that. But yeh, my understanding is he built his roll basically from scratch/ at least no more than avail to most people with a lousy job.
But I aren't 100%, just remembering an article I read. Doesn't interest me enough to look it up though, but if someone else wants too...

OK Fcuk it. I looked him up pated from wiki:
"Online poker In March 2004 at the age of 17, Dwan began playing online poker with a $50 bankroll focusing initially on $6 sit-and-go's. After finding he could beat these games he turned to cash games where he grinded through the low stakes, building up his bankroll before reaching his current level of play which is often $500/$1000 stakes in which he plays against other notable professional players such as Phil Ivey, David Oppenheim, David Benyamine, Gus Hansen, John Juanda and Patrik Antonius. Dwan has said that since playing online he has never gone broke.[4][7] On 26 October 2008, during a session of $500/1000 No-Limit Hold'em on Full Tilt, Dwan played the biggest pot to date in online poker, $723,938, losing with KK versus Di "Urindanger" Dang's AA. According to H**********B.com Tom Dwan earned $5.41 million on FullTilt in 2008.[8]"
