Flangel's FAQ, Hints & Tips
ALllright, I am on a writing mood and I decided to give some extra feedback for newer players. U can rate it good or bad, but thats the choice U make Here are some common problems, or questions asked regarding poker in general and what to do also including specific BRM Q's
A no deposit bonus gives U the chance to build a bankroll without investing your own money. DO NOT go light over those offers or DO not play with the spirit : it's only free money coz then Ur wasting a free chance to make some profit. Play the 50$ for example like its scared money and don't spew or donk off ur chips in no time.
2.Choose a room, go with the flow or decide wise :
Many people are always debating wich room is the best. But thats purely subjective. A room can only be chosen depending on your interests : 1.MTT overlay 2.Cash tables 3. If Cashtables : wich variants U play? 4. European server / US server time : makes sometimes a big difference when U are playing MTT's depending wich country U live in, ( time tables and schedules) 5. Benefits , VIP system, FPP's or playerpoints : Do some math if U are a depositing player, wich room(s) fits u the best and what U get in return from the room.
3.Rakeback = value A very common mistake is signing up at every goddamn room there is, even is its just for a freeroll. DON't DO THAT unless U know U can be tracked for rakeback Rakeback is the most valueable thing in online poker and varies from 27% to 50% in most of the time Rakeback means ur getting a % back from the fee / rake U paid at the tables, wether its cash or Sng' or MTT I was discussing Rakeback with Doomdy in my own 'Flangel's Blog and Chat thread' at page 6 i think , so u can see what ur missing. http://www.bankrollmob.com/forum.asp?mode=thread&id...
Signing up on a room must be decided very wisely,
A. If U choose for a No deposit bonus chances are very HIGH ur not getting any rakeback B. Deposit and link ur account for rakeback is more LONGTERM THINKING
Poker cannot be seen as short term profits but mathematicly long term.
4. Beginners : Hands and charts
Beginners or novice players shud ignore the Pro's style and play. K-9 raise out of position = no good => ur playing 9/10 on low limits wich is NOT easy and also not adviced to play strong poker or bluffs. it rarely works coz they mostly instant snap call u with A rag or toppair. => Play ABC poker and read strategy / feedback along the way. Improve your game slowly, don't make jumpstarts, or u burn yourself
5. Books & Videos :
Many players seems to be lazy to take some time to read some articles / or spectate videos Thats wrong : THose resources are not making U an instant good player, BUT they provide U of some feedback and it's never bad to analyse other people hands. Even pro's are always discussing hands, so why won't U?
6.Google is your winner : These days U can find anything on google. It's wise to use it when ur short on terms or don't know what it means. Never fear to ask, DUMB questions don't exist ( in general) Bankrollmob is a based community with some regulars so there will be also some people giving U feedback if ur short on something
7. Poker - Gamble - Money Poker stays a game of skill, but none the less, there is gamble involved: DO NOT play with scared money nor try to sell / do uncommon things U woulndnt do if it was for poker. If U can't afford to relaod or deposit , wait for another month , untill U have cash to spare. Many people got addicted in the wrong way, and got broke or lost alot of friends due to Poker / gamble.
8. Help , Coaching :
Alot of people are coaching others, OR they are looking for a coach to master a certain variant. I cannot do this full time, but If needed, I can offer U some of my own experiences and also I can invest some time in U if ur stuck. I am not a pro, but I like to share some XP or strats to players that means it and not just blowing away roll.
9. Bankroll management
BRManagement differs from the limits / variants, but the standar NLHE bankroll management U shud see is this : These ARE MINMUM REQUIREMENTS IF U DONT FEEL COMFORTABLE MOVING UP STAKES? THEN DONT DO IT
This is based on FULL RING, Don't play SHORTHANDED at start
For those who play on the cake network or have the intention on plaing on Cakenetwork :
They have several skins spreaded around and thy all offer the standard 33% rakeback BUT this is what I want to remind you about : If U have a rakebackaccount / bonusaccount on one cakeskin, jur not allowed to have another Cake 33% rakeback on another cakeskin, so decide wisely where U are about to deposit / play and earn the rake BACK.

I play poker for a living, and also affliate in it. I have 3 pcs running and 4 screens all day, but when I am not around, its always open / online. So its rare I am completely offline all the time

Damn first person with 4,000 posts gets a free WSOP Vegas ticket. I was pretty sure i gonna make it. But Flangels is busting really hard now Tony must giv him a ban imo
Flangel i play at Party Poker and am doin ok ish at the moment - i mainly play 3-4 tables $6-11 DoNs and have made 550 party points this month so far - am just closing in on the second half of a bonus ( 60 percent ) , got a nice bonus comin from the cash machine already, i guess this all equates to rakeback.
What should i do with the points? i really dont know what the best option is - am unsure if its likely i will hit gold status and even if so - what to do with the points?

Mattel i saw ur question when posting this Ill answer it within 15 minutes
At the moment ur clearing extra cash frolm Partypoker via Cash machine rewards right and some other bonus right? Well atm ur hiting the silver level. But ofcourse if U want to maintain ur Silver level U need to make 400 points minimum per month
I advice U first to clear the 40% then analyse and tell us where U stand in VIP level. That depending it makes a difference for U, coz cashing in bigger rewards like the silver one gives U more Valueback then the Bronze one,
Same applies if U can manage GOLD level : then ur Value is higher for cash to redeem points.
If U are sure U cant make it to gold U better cash in ur points at sliver level to make sure ur not losing % of the valueback. If U know U can make it to gold go for the gold
Party is good coz they allow U to combine many bonuses / or benefits at once.
The main problem for U is not clearing a bonus, but gaining and keeping your Status
Thanks - i think i will crank it up just a notch - i can piss 400 in ten days i mean my best have been in the 90's so 1500 is do-able. Am just thinkin tho- after this cash machine finishes and this current bonus is gone - will i have to spend the points to buy a new bonus?
or will they give me one / start a new promotion?
or should i just spend em for the $?
Sorry for all the questions its just hard to know what to aim for - i think i can make 75pp a day easily if that helps....
