HighStakes: Gus Hansen is back

Gus Hansen, from Denmark, is one of the most fearless poker players in the world. He can bluff out anyone from a pot with nothing, and he's also good at getting paid off when he has a good hand. The style of poker he uses gets the most of his opponents on tilt, and it has really paid off. Gus Hansen, has won over $7 million dollars throughout his poker career at the highest stakes live and online.

Lately however, Gus Hansen, hasn't had the luck on his side, and also he hasn't been playing his best poker. For example he lost around 1.4 million dollars last weekend. But as we all know, Gus Hansen, usually gets back in shape almost instantly after he has had a losing streak.

The other day he won around $360,000 at Full Tilt, most of it from the French poker pro, David Benyamine. One of the pots these two played landed on $222,000, and it was Gus who took care of it. Let's hope for some more high stakes action with Gus Hansen at Full Tilt poker this week!

"He can bluff out anyone from a pot with nothing"

Maybe that is his problem. In those omaha games there is no chance to bluff someone. They have only one PSB left at the flop most of the time.

Never knew he was gone imho.

He is not gone. He just had a few bad sessions. And omaha high may not be his best game too.

Is he Pissed Question

Gus Hansen is a good player, but his strategy is based more on the psychological part than on the game.

He plays with the player and not with the cards; he does very much bluff and win some hands with luck.

He's so pissed, he's on tilt.

btw i think his fearless way of playing can lose him big money but he's getting lucky many times so keeps on winning

the man is a legend,at the limis that these guys play its all about bluffing,if you got a nice hand and you think you against a great hand, how can you call 100K,200K, 500K,psychological warfare.

I like to watch Gus playing, but there is one factor many dont remember when we talk about highest stakes players. They are few, they know each others way of play extremely well and have it very well studied. Pros who only play with pros tend to get habits, adictions, comiting the same mistakes or trying not to always the same way. Its like those who play with the same old friends at home for years. They know who does what in some situations! One day we heard good about Beniamine, now we heard good about Gus, and it will be cyclical!

I think its a big bluff game in PLO at higher stakes as u wouldn't go all in on a flush without the A for example, especially if you have a good read on your opponents...

They are to shallow in most of the games to bluff a lot. Any half way decent hand has to call.
