New Partnership Between Aussie Millions and PokerStars APPT

Posted on 20 November 2013 by "T".

The 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event will be a part of the PokerStars Asia-Pacific Poker Tour (APPT). The 16th annual Aussie Millions will run from January 23 to February 10 and features the $10,600 Main Event, a $25,000 event, a $100,000 event and a $250,000 event. The Main Event is scheduled for February 2-9 and it will be the second stop on the 8th season of the APPT.

Hopefully the new partnership will help attract even more players to the already popular Main Event! One thing is for sure though, some of the biggest names in the game of poker will participate and there will be a massive prize pool up for grabs.

"The Aussie Millions is regarded as one of the marquee poker events globally and by aligning with the biggest poker tour in the region, the APPT, will further guarantee the event's success in the coming year", Crown Resort Chief Operating Officer,Xavier Walsh said in a press statement.

"The Aussie Millions becoming part of the APPT is a great fit for both Crown Melbourne and Global Poker Tours Ltd. Linking one of the best tournaments in Asia Pacific with the region's biggest poker tour benefits everyone. Personally, I can't wait to be actively involved in one of the very top big buy-in events in the world", APPT president Danny McDonagh explained.

As PokerStars said: "The beauty of the 2014 Aussie Millions is that the dates no longer clash with the other major championship in January - the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure."

Yeah agreed if it does not clashes then there are more chance of seeing more pros playing rather than if they clash and the pros have to choose between the tourneys they want to play, I think there is a conflict with EPT and another tourney for next year if I remember correctly!

The Aussie Millions has really grown since it started. These events are now huge in the poker calender. It will be interesting to see who enters the $250,000 buy in tournament

I think this is great since the result will be that more people will join the action!

I'm very intrigued by the 250k dollars event, that should gather the top live players for sure Big Smile
