High Stakes: Viktor Blom Loses $2 Million

Tags: Alexander Kostritsyn, Ben Tollerene, Bttech86, full tilt poker, high stakes, isildur1, PostflopAction, viktor blom.
Posted on 09 April 2013 by "T".

Last week we reported that Viktor "Isildur1" Blom was up over $4 million (the biggest winner of 2013) after taking Ben "Bttech86" Tollerene for $1.7 million in a 5 hours and 40 minutes heads up session at Full Tilt Poker. Things have changed a lot since then and he's now up "only" $2 million! The main reason to this huge drop is that Tollerene got his revenge on Blom. That's right! The two resumed their heads up battles on Friday and Saturday and it all ended with Blom losing about $1.5 million to the American poker pro.

Russian poker pro Alexander "PostflopAction" Kostritsyn is now the biggest winner online of 2013 with $3,842,936 (735 sessions and 54,243 hands), Tollerene is the second biggest winner with $2,265,144 (386 sessions and 34,289 hands) and Blom is ranked third with $2,149,144 (1109 sessions and 112,671 hands).

G'day mate

Well personally I care more about you losing your $3 as a fellow mobster then I care about Viktor Blom losing millions. Personally never much cared for him as every time I have ever seen him he has come acrossed as an arrogant person.
good luck getting your $3 bucks back mate

Back when Viktor "Isildur1" Blom was first making a name for himself, an $800,000 incident involving Peter Jepsen and Robert "Gulkines" Flink caused a stir in the high stakes world.
Following a series of matches that saw Blom lose the majority of his bankroll to Jepsen, rumours emerged that the Swede may have been the victim of multi-accounting.
After being told by Luke Schwartz that Flink had been in control of Jepsen's bet365 account, "pokerzp3", an investigation was started.
Both Jepsen and Flink denied the allegations at the time, but in a recent interview Jepsen clarified that he did let Flink play on his account.
At the time Jepsen was ordered to pay back the full $800,000 and it's something that still haunts him to this day.

As i posted yesterday on the news that said that he won 1.7m in a session the inevitable happend...

Frankly i'm sot sure if he looks this winnings/loses too serious, well at leas this is my personal impression, i might be wrong.

Blom is up and down like a yo yo and has been playing that way since making the ranks. Not that it matters, he seem's to pull through one way or another. Besides, I think I could live with third place rankings. If your always in first you got nothing to shoot for!

haahahaha i knew it,he's one hell of a player Viktor one day winning millions the next losing millions,i wonder what the total is in pots that he has played in so far is ?

This must have been a really crazy session. Tollerene only needed two days to recover what he had lost before against Blom and he even provoked some serious damage on Izildur1's cashier, reducing $1.5M to it. Gosh, i think i wouldn't be able to open my mouth after this.

Ups n downs every day... Synonym for Isildur1!
 demodawggy10/04/2013 18:29:55 GMT
The guy is a proper lunatic... I don't think he respects money too much...

He just tosses it around like Monopoly money or something... Maybe instead of the new rabbit Monopoly piece they've come up with to replace the thimble....

...they should make it a bust of Isildur's head... lol...

...or maybe a brick wall with a head stuck on it....... Aww crap!

Big Smile

Who didn't see this coming? I think his sessions vs profit in comparison to Kostritsyn & Tollerene shows alot about how poker should be played.
 kilak11/04/2013 11:07:39 GMT
$3 Man, that's the real story here.
Is there any link so I can follow your games?
24 tabling at a $3 loss over 10 hours,not bad man.
 JWRowell11/04/2013 11:14:09 GMT
24 tables? Thats pretty good man even if you ran a small loss.
My head explodes with anything more then 6!
 mirexxx14/04/2013 21:29:47 GMT
I would retire (at least for a while) with that kind of money. But he's going to lose most of them when a bad day will come... It is a poker one get one lose in my case many times I lose hehe: D
 andre3OOO20/04/2013 14:47:54 GMT
i LOST 10€ the other day and I was sick..xD
 remco250420/04/2013 15:46:23 GMT
This guy cant be using good BRM because he loses millions in one day.
Then his BR on the site must be 10's of millions ..but i doubt that
He's just n idiot with a lot of money..
He's just like us , upswings, downswings we all have those.
Only difference ...he has cash/sponsors.
 mazas20/04/2013 16:10:07 GMT
