A new Food Network series called ‘Kitchen Casino' premiered on Monday. The show, hosted by Bill Rancic (the first winner of NBC's ‘The Apprentice'), has a $30,000 jackpot at stake that four talented chefs compete for in three challenges (rounds) named after casino-themed games: slots, roulette and poker. Each round will be judged by prestigious chefs including Michael Chernow and Aliya Leekong.
In Round 1 (Slot Machine), the chefs take a spin to reveal three categories that must motivate the dishes they prepare. In Round 2 (Chef Roulette), the remaining three contestants will have to use the same protein from the slot machine round, however, the kitchen will spin like a roulette wheel leaving chefs with a different chef's station. In the final round (Chef Poker) the last two contestants will have to create a dish depending on the cards (different ingredients) they are dealt.
Eeerm. So if I've got this one right this has nothing to do with p.oker, but the network probably made a deal with a c.asino to sponsor this series, therefore they had to make some mock up vegas style competition which no one would watch, since its the food network. Hurray! I unveiled the mystery!
lol just watched the video it is funny, you must watch it if you like food and gambling. But to be honest this make people think poker is a game of chance instead of skill so more fishes coming in to the poker sites and we have a better chance to make money off them. Cheers will try to find more links on this show!
This should be to watch. I guess there will be a lot of starvation for money in the beginning and some will come out empty hand with no money not even for a burger. ..
I figure in Colorado and Washington State they should do a show using some nice tasty BUDS in their recipes...! Weed Waffles,....Pot Pizza,....Ganja Goulash,....Sensimilla Spaghetti...etc...
Heck,...they could even do some nice desserts like,...Honey Oil Sundaes,...Hash Oil Hash Browns....etc,...
...and instead of chocolate chip cookies,....they could make Morroccan Hash Chip Cookies....
Well...that's one way to try and make watching someone cook food you won't be able to eat once it's cooked interesting. Chef's are fucking mad as well - anyone who voluntarily becomes a chef when they have other options = bonkers.
This is definitely my kind of programme, food and gambling!! I have gone all in a few times over the years on a nice juicy steak!! I look forward to watching this when it comes on
