Photo by Neil StoddartPokerStars will be hosting its biggest-ever poker festival in the Bahamas next year. You read it right. The 2016 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, January 6 - January 15, will feature an incredible 104 different poker tournaments at Paradise Island's Atlantis. That's a big difference from last year's 35 events!

The 2015 PCA will have a big variety in both tournaments and buy-ins, so there will be something to suit everyone! Some of the highlights will be the $2,200 LAPT Main Event, a $100,000 Super High Roller, a $50,000 High Roller, and a $25,000 High Roller!

"We have seen extraordinary growth in our live events in Europe and we're excited about emulating this success at the PCA," said Edgar Stuchly (Director of PokerStars Live Events) on August 28th. "EPT Barcelona, which is running right now, is breaking records on a daily basis and our aim is to give PCA players the same kind of experience."

How to qualify

There are plenty of satellites already up and running on PokerStars. With buy-ins starting from as little as $1.10, you simply can't afford to miss out on this chance of winning a 2016 PCA package! Good luck!

"People come from all over the world to compete in the Bahamas and enjoy the Caribbean climate, in the middle of winter for the Northern Hemisphere," Stuchly said. "However, what our players really relish is the chance to play lots of poker. So this coming January, that's exactly what we'll be offering!"

It doesn't get much better than spending the first few weeks of the new year playing poker in the Bahamas!!
Going from 35 tourneys to 104 sounds very ambitious but I'm sure there will be plenty of players who will pay the entry fees......I was thinking of entering the 100k High Roller but the $1 satellites sound much more fun.......

The PokerStars marketing division is the best in the on line poker business. What other site could organize that kind of tournaments.

Imagine now how much in rake they will make with all the peoples playing satellites getting a chance to go to a sunny island playing poker.

So! If it's about to break records, I feel like being part of it, so I am going to do my best to qualify. I probably won't, but I will give it a go. I could do with some sunshine at the start of the year, it would be a great way to start the year. Hope to see you all there.

every year i see pca to be hosted, every year i think to myself that this is much much better than wsop me... it's just something about the combination of poker, beach, babes and syphilis that makes poker caribbean adventure a really unforgettable adventure. maybe some time i will dip my toe in the warm sand of bahamas...

My dear degenerated friend pochui,

I agree with you that indeed the PCA is getting much better than WSOP ME, I'm 100% sure that one day it will be if god bless all of us and that the restriction of online poker in some countries will be removed and for especially our US buddies...

Regards,
Calmplay.

I am currently watching the broadcast of last years PCA on TV and it does look fantastic whether you are there for the poker or just having a holiday. Smile
I don't know how many tournaments the WSOP have on but for the PCA to have 104 does seem very high but maybe there will be some quite low buy ins or it could just be the select groups of players taking most of the titles.

Twice is at the door to qualify for the PCA Main Event in 2014 and 2015
This year I can not escape, as it will be playing the PCA in Bahamas
I start to play satellites soon and hope to have any success in containing the full package of PokerStars
It is my goal for this year, I can not escape this time

Does caribbean syphillis more special and tasty than the regular one?
