Partypoker’s CPP $25,500 MILLIONS World won by Roger Teska for $2M

partypoker’s Caribbean Poker Party $25,000 + $500 MILLIONS World event has been won by Roger Teska for a nice plump sum of $2,000,000!

He may haven’t had much experience on playing live tournaments throughout his poker career, but he had some prior experience on competing in the Bahamas in 2014 and he has also been announced to participate in the $1M dollar buy-in Big One for One Drop in 2012, thus he’s totally no noob to high-stakes games.

It took a total of 13 hours in a day to determine who the last man standing is, and in the end, it is American poker pro Roger Teska. He defeated Irish Steve O’Dwyer in a heads-up match. He said, “I definitely wasn't expecting to win coming into this [tournament]," Teska said in his winner's interview. "These guys know when to shove, what hands to shove with, and I don't. Steve is a better player than I am so I wanted to play bigger pots.”

Teska is one of those who get very much excited when he competes with some of the best players in the game. On the final day of the tournament, there were nine players left competing for the top spot in the final table. Teska was in 7th chip position at the start of play, while Steve O’Dwyer was the chip leader.

On the final hand, Teska was able to build a solid stack, and the hands dealt were:

O’Dwyer – a pair of 5

Teska – 10 and 8 of clubs

The board ran 8-4-2-Q-3, thereby giving Teska a pair of eights on the flop and so he wins the pot and the title.

His latest victory overshadows his previous career-high score of $371,000, and he says he knows exactly what to do with his major payday, but of course, “There might be some partying the next couple days.”

The buy in amount was a respectable one Smile
And the prize of course for the first position was a great one.
Even the last one in the money, got 10x the buy in.
A player with not many successes in the past, but with experience.
The biggest one must have been the one with the 1 million buy in Smile

many congratulations goes to Roger Teska on winning the $2,000,000 first prize for this tournament. There were some pretty awesome names on the final table, Steve O'dwyer and Ben Tollerene to name just two, so he should be ultra proud of himself

Roger Teska is of course a great player ..... it’s certainly worth a lot to beat the whole table… a great prize given that he didn’t have much experience playing in live tournaments ..... probably live tournaments and online tournaments are very different .... I did not have experience in live tournaments ..... I want to try

These poker tournaments with a big or huge buy-in, can be passed to the exclusive category.
Even if the amounts of register for tourney are very high, they manage to attract a lot of players.
I think emotions are intense for many players and satisfaction when they winning important pots is very high.
Congratulations to the players of the final table.

I guess they never went away really but I usually cannot see hungarians in these tiurney finishes most of the time - except for that fella at the WSOP Main Event final table a while ago.

Well i doubt it is the largest poker site in the world.
A big one yes, but no the largest.First one is the poker stars-fulltill.
I believe you cant count them separately any more when doing a comparison.
After them, it is the 888poker from what i read in a recent thread.
And party may be following Smile

Yes this is very good win for 1st place to get 2 millions of dollars, of course buyin not very small of 25 thousands but even to have big buyin this is very good return for investment. Also nice to see this guy not very big professional and still win versus pros

25k for a buy-in is still a lot and these inflated figures doesn't trickled down much in those prizepool figures as I see here. Two million is nice though he sure will not gonna complain about it but makes you think that the lesser tourney with the lesser buy-in had better payouts in comparison.

Absolutely gigantic congratulations to Roger Teska for being crowned champion of the Caribbean Poker Party MILLIONS World event hosted by partypoker. Very well done also to Steve O'Dwyer, who finished runner up and earned US$1.3 million. Steve O'Dwyer is one of my favorite poker players, and I think he is one the most talented tournament players in the world.
