The Women in Poker Hall of Fame (WiPHoF) celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
Earlier in May, Lupe Soto and Maria Ho were the lucky ones to be chosen to become members of the 2018 Women in Poker Hall of Fame, making them the 20th and 21st inductees into the Hall.
Scheduled in June 26, Tuesday at 11am, the two women officially joined the Hall at the WiPHoF Luncheon Celebration & Induction at the New Orleans Casino.
The event is open to the public.
Sponsors of the event include 888poker, Card Player Cruises, and PokerStars and Star's charitable group Helping Hands. A portion of the proceeds will go to the WiPHoF's partner, Poker Gives, a charitable institution that helps homeless veterans and military families in need.
It was Daniel Negreanu who introduced Maria and handed out the awards at the induction ceremony, where his affable speech moved Maria to tears.
What a name to have. It takes your mind somewhere else Another one in the hall of fame. Fame and glory is a must for many, besides the money of course. I wouldnt mind having the money only
I'm very glad for Maria Ho and Lupe Soto because they came in The Women in Poker Hall of Fame (WiPHoF) and in the years to come we are also expecting other representations of beautiful sex to achieve this. I did not see the scene when she was crying but that means she loves poker a lot and puts a lot of soul in this ,,sport''.
hmm ... I think I've already read about this a little earlier ... I really remember .... ok ... Maria Ho I really like how a woman and as a player ... I watched her play and it was very cool .... so she certainly was rightfully in the hall of fame poker .... about the second woman can not say anything ... I do not know her
I think that this is well deserved and congratulations to her. Maria Ho has been playing , and winning, in all the big games for many years and can rightly take her place in the Hall Of Fame

You and me thinking the same. That Ho Over There just had a brand new meaning tbh.
Lmao she doesn't act like a Hoe though so she's fine. She actually looks like a pretty smart woman. I don't know if her achievements are enough to really be a Hall of famer but whatever I don't really care about this sort of things. It's like Phil Hellmuth, sure he's good at poker, but the reason he has so many bracelets is mostly because he plays all of the WSOP series every year so it's just like online, it's about volume too. And I always wonder if these sponsored players even pay for their buy-ins.
one of the most beautiful and legante women of the world reference poker for women and a player of level maxino that beats of face with the giants of the modality of equal way I am much of the work of this woman and and more than deserved it to be in this hall of the fame
