You would not think that a woman of 69 would be banned from a casino!! I would really like to know what she was banned for but at least they did give her the money back she had already spent

You have to act pretty bad to get banned. Violence or agressive behavior against staff or other customers, begging, stealing. Something like that.

at least they give money back, that she spend, but dont understand this, they kicked out her when she hit jackpot???so before that they didnt mention anything about her ban from that casino and they didnt call police to move her!everytime when some jackpot is,casino make things to not pay money!

I believe that it is the woman's fault because she knew she was restricted to play there but went there, there are other casinos, I hope she learned from her mistake and does not repeat it. But as mentioned at least she got her money back as she could have got nothing in another casino...

I think casino's can know whuch players can enter and which not, so kicking out a player who cannot play there after the big win looks kike they nudt waited for player to lose and when she not lost they decided to just take her winnings back, no lose situation for casino.

If there is no law, that demands registration , when entering casino, then its very hard to notice, when banned person enters casino.
Same thing is with under legal age players, they can not always be detected, but if they win big, casino cant legally pay out, as it would be breaking the law then.
------------ I have being worked at casino over 10 years. We had list of people banned by casino or by people themselves, that included more than 200 players. But at that time there was no registration demanded by law. What do you think, casino staff could remember 200 people by bad photos, taken fom document copy or security camera. Offcourse not.

well i reckon that not everyday you see a 69 year gal who is banned from casino (ok she was 67-68 then- big difference) i cannot imagine why such old ladies can be banned, probably she was a pro cheater and now again she won the jackpot... she needed to hire someone to take the winnings for her.

The casino as usual found the reason not to pay the jackpot ... how I hate such deeds !!! ...... play it allowed and if she lost then she would go home with nothing and then a big fortune !! She was given lost money .... I hate this

I love the fact that the casino, having decided to kick this lady out and not pay her winnings have also paid her back the money she had gambled to win the win she had won. I love that they have also issued her a traspass ticket. The only shame is that they let her in in the first place and allowed this situation to happen!

In Ontario, people self-ban when they have a problem. Sometimes by court order, believe it or not.
Ontario casinos normally have facial recognition software. Yes, the staff don't have the hundreds of faces memorized. But if a person is caught on site, they'll be charged with trespass.
And as this lady found out, if you win when under ban then you don't get to keep it. A casino isn't a private place; there's no "right" to be there or implied social contract with the government about your gambling. Instead it's a specific contract which is voided when you enter the site when you aren't allowed.

It is kinda hard to believe that a casino nowadays doesnt have the means necessary, to recognize the ones that are getting banned. And of course im not talking about the staff. If im not mistaken some casinos also use cards in orders to enter or play. And you can use the card t gather points, for bonuses etc. I guess that wasnt the case

now with all this commenting on the issue aside, i would actually be interested in seeing the action itself... how big muscular bouncer kicks out a 69 year old lady... did she fly a long way from the casino? actually this might be a good lesson to her, if she really is self excluded then after this shameful experience maybe she forgets about gambling and start for example baking cinnamon buns

There is also another question here. What exactly as happened with the money from the jackpot. Did the put the jackpot back up to where it was, or now its back at the reset level. Cause it might also be a very "convenient" story of winning the jackpot.
Kinda like the "scam"that someone can call it, that happens in bingo sites, where they give no deposit bonus to players, just to find out later, that their bonus, is just play money and nothing more. But at the same time they are winning bingo, taking real cash from prizes and from real players who have deposited, out of the circulation and back to the bingo rooms pocket.

Shortly after the incident with the passenger whose driver was kicked out of the plane now this message ... apparently the guard carefully studied the experience of the airline security staff and applied their experience in this case ... a wonderful job security guard, probably you will receive an award

I only know that i would not want to be in this ladies situation, very sad thing to win big amounts of money and then have this prize taken away by casino from you and this lady can in the past lost lots of money in same casino, so now she is very sad I think.

At age 69 and getting banned only two years ago, makes you wonder about the reason. Maybe, because she was losing a fortune every time? Losing 600 dollars in slots, is way too much and of course it is a sign of an addiction

It is quite possible that in recent times this grandmother began to get involved in the game of casino games and was restricted to some kind of close people in the casino ... it is quite possible that her age is not young and changes in the brain are possible ... but the very fact of the jackpot Adds to fire news

Win is not win all the time. Lets say player under legal age sneaks into casino. Not possible to pay out winnings, as it would be against the law.
|
Mober | 24/04/2017 20:00:42 GMT |
The thing is that the applicable laws, seems to favor the casinos most of the time. Having right or not, it is very difficult going against them, even if you are right.
And we have seen a couple of stories recently.
