The prestigious award ceremony was held at The Westin Dragonara Resort in Malta on the eve of February 24, and the event celebrates the most successful and innovative online gaming companies operating in the Nordics region. As a way of recognition, operators and service providers that have stood out are given awards for their great performance over the past 12 months.

Nordic countries include the sovereign states of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden as well as the autonomous region of Åland and the autonomous territories of the Faroe Islands and Greenland.

Despite the fierce rivalry from other several market-leading suppliers, Yggdrasil won the Casino Platform Provider of the award.

The independent panel of judges has chosen Yggdrasil based on the results from the past year which saw the studio evolve from a leading slot developer to a global publisher of gambling content via its industry-changing YG Masters program and YG Franchise proposition, driven by its pioneering Game Adaptation Tools and Interface (GATI) technology.
