What a comeback by Brian Rast! He was down to about 2 million and almost out of the tournament a while ago. Now, about 10-15 minutes later, he's the champion and $1,720,328 richer! This was his second bracelet at the 2011 WSOP! Very impressive!

phil hellmuth is the most inspirational player to me, kinda reminds me of the older version of myself if i take poker seriously and really buckle down... might have to work on bankroll management first and somehow find a 4 leaf clover to even me out but then i should play fine

What a turnover for Rast and Helmut. Phil must have become very sad after this final hand. Come on, lets look right at this: Helmut made something dangerous beting pre-flop with 8-2. It can be understood as a normal move in a heads-up, but he knew it could be his last hand. And after watching flop, he knew that was going to be his last hand and that he would be needing something else than what was at the table, which, unfortunately for him, it didn't showed up. Going all-in with 8-2 waiting a card is risky: Phil has got the proof of that!

maybe a little loose raise with 82 suited but not that bad really and he has a flush draw and open ended str8 on the flop of course hes shipping the chips there its crazy not to just to many outs

think hellmuth might have made another record for maximum number of second finishes in 1 wsop. well done to Rast for winning the big first prize and the bracelet
Hands like that in heads up are played all the time, but still 82s is a little bit too loose imo. Most of the time in heads up no one will connect with the flop, so Phil could also easily bluff out Rast, but well... this time somone had nuts on the flop
I'd also like to know effective stacks because lately I wasn't tracking WSOP that much (mostly because FTP went down and I wasn't playing in fantasy WSOP any longer). But still, even if he was running very low on chips he shouldn't draw in heads up, because in most of the hands you don't have odds to draw in HU, even when you have 9 outs.

I'm really dorry that Phil Hellmuth didn't get this 12th bracelet actually, since already he has the many of them i think this bracelet that could be take only by a bracelet holder would have been nice
Still, i think a 1 million dollar prize it's a pretty good consolation prize, but i'm sure as always he is more interested in prestige , not money
It would be cool if the world series of poker oranizers would introduce more of this type of events in the ext year, i mean i really like the concept that only bracelet holders can register

I agree. I call for every card for this prize. I will never be sad in the end for a loss of this amount. The odds is always strange is something the life show us great surprise.
