Yeah of course,collusion is so super common in MTSNGs and MTTs. Thats why stars allows people to play in the same room if the SNG/MTT has 45 or more players...
and lol at your last sentence. The group he is talking about is a study group,not a group of players regging for the same games all day. Study groups are very common,I'm in 2 already. It's hard to improve your game by yourself,if you talk to other people it's getting far easier,and you get your own leaks spotted.

And as said before, looking video, read article and blog, discuss about hand with people who play same limit is clearly EV+ for u game ... But if u want playing alone it's your prob
