Highest traffic is in the evening in europe, as, at the moment, the americans are out of the games. Looks like you do better against the regulars that play all day.

Well for a starter, it depends on which day you play.

Friday/Sat/Sun = casual players and drunk players in evenings

In the morning you probably have grinders/ bored people

Just play when you make most money - if you make money in the morning 80% of the time or whatever keep doing it.

well time of day is important in two ways imo:
1) it influences what tournaments are available to you to take part. this is not super important if you go for cash games and sit and gos, unless you are playing higher stakes/ less popular poker form
2) it depends how are you feeling yourself- it may be the case that you are more energetic, more focused, more determined etc. at the morning than at the evening...or vice versa Confused

Hi Mad.

I agree with you I tend to play better in the mornings. As has been said I think this is less bleeding idiots playing then. Also, it makes a difference what days you play. As I play almost every day I find my best results come on a Week day (Mon - Thur).

Although we do have some bad beats on weekends - we just need to play on and learn to play the muppets properly- AA, KK or AK only for first 6 levels in tournaments for example.

GL to you anyway and see you at the tables.....................

IMO there is no real time to play or not, its about table selection, however there are times were selection is easier and weekends are prime.
You might find that you are actually fresher more relaxed in the morning and play better, when you choose to play with regards to mentality will play a huge difference in your game.

I saw at the weekend that a lot of gamblers playing. At the other days, the games are not so crazy. And in the evening and night you saw a lot of player without a plan. In the morning time, you can find a lot of tight housewifes at the tables Big Smile

Kd of agree with pochui on this one. I definitely like to play in the morning , but the tournaments I like to play lean more towards evening. Another thing it takes quite some ime for the SnG's I play to fill in the morning, but come evening they fill at a much better pace. I've won more in the early evening then any other time, but that's when I can play for the most part except on weekends. Just wish there were better selections in the mornings on weekends. Of course I don't have a lot of options as to where I can play either, but that's another subject. Good Luck to All!

I Always played at night, after kids in bed, so I really can't compare times of day, but I can see the difference between weekdays and weekends, I sure make more money at weekends

Not good for me cause time zone, I just have limited MTT I can play. Also buy in cost. So I have to adaptation. Normally at weekends or holiday I like play in the morning when I feel fresh or around 8 pm ( my time zone )

I tend to play late nite....weekends seem to be lucrative as well. I'm guessing all the drunks come home after striking out at the pubs; and they seem to play a lil looser. Which is always more profitable for me.

I think the best time to play is at 8 PM or so, then you can find the highest poker traffic online Blink

Now it also depends on what poker platform are you playing but generally thats an appropiate hour to play Smile

I like to play in the evening because I am much more relaxed after working the whole day in the morning, but at the evening and in the weekend is my favorite time.
