Like the way you played this hand.

Flop wasn't too bad for you but BB resisted to your flop reraise and you potcontrolled wisely taking advantage of your position.

Maybe you could valuebet river because BB showed weakness to times (turn and river) but you have showdown value and BB could be setting out you a trap.
So your missed river valuebet it's not a mistake.

Nice hand imho.

PS: next time don't post hand results not to influence hand judging

FAO ADMIN: it would be nice implementing the forum with a spoiler button; I mean the button which can hide (and show when presed) some lines of the post (in these cases to hide/show showdown).

Why not bet the turn? Most likely you are ahead, and win the pot right there.

Giving him a free look at the river is dangerous.

Not betting the river is correct, imo; you'll only get called by hands that beat you.

Textbook play. Even If you lost, as magatt966 said, you wouldn't have fallen for a trap and lost too many chips but still got a decent return on a low pair. Personally I know this is how I should play, however I would have still bet on the river then folded if re raised. Probably the reason why I am only a break even player Aww crap!

I like the flop raise. It's not a bad flop for a middle pair and you wouldn't put him on AK as he just called preflop. It's a good time to raise and find out where you are but you would be hoping that the hand would end there. The fact he called makes me assume the AJ were both diamonds but this is left out.
I also think you should bet the turn, never the river. It's hard to bet the turn when he's just called your 3X raise but he has showed weakness and you don't want to give a free shot at the river. Any card above a six makes life hard for you if he bets the river as does any diamond. The only thing to worry about is any king with a weak kicker although a second barrel might get him to fold if he is smart and doesn't want to potentially call a large bet on the river.
Never bet the river. You have showdown value. You will only be called by a hand that's beating you including any T. You no longer have the power to get any K to fold or higher PP.

I have no problems with your lines, you cud bet the turn cos your keeping in controll, like you dont bet the turn wot you do when opponent valuebets the river?
The 2K's arent scary btw.
