Ok, I am so angry Big Smile I played one freeroll there was only about 50 players and 10 got into money...
I had 3,500 chips, he had around 14000 chips.
I had AA and was on BB (50/100). Only he calls me. I raised him on 300 preflop. I didnt want to raise more than 3BB, he wasnt very agressive on table, so I didnt want to fold him... He calls.
FLOP: 2, 3, 7 rainbow(no flush draw possibility). I bet 500. He raised me 1000. I am allin, he calls. He showed me 27. Turn K, river some s**t I dont remember Big Smile I finished on 16. place and I really wanted to cry Big SmileDD

I dont think so that raise 3BB preflop when only 1 player call BB and going allin after flop is slowplaying, is it? Sad

Thats what I totally didnt expect.. As I said he wasnt very agressive preflop, he didnt played like every hand Smile so when I saw that "friendly" flop and he raised me I thought like he has 22 or 33 or K7 on hand... anyway I had to call it you know.. but when I saw that 27 I was like WTF.. Big Smile He had it suited but its not changing anything.. He just wants to play that hand preflop, maybe he though I am stealing sh1t.. D

has anyone else noticed that just before the money they always seem to get premium starting cards that get cracked 80% of the time and BAM Aww crap! your out just before the money.

I have really been seeing it allot. i wonder sometimes how much truth there is to the rumors that the poker sites are programmed to drop out better hands just before the button to raise the excitement levels.

I know it really pisses players off.

Ronin we dont know it, we just can thinking about it (especially when we loosing so many hands like this Big Smile). But one thing is sure. If they would do it they ofcourse can.. To create that program isnt harder than create program as it is/should be Smile

It's just that stack sizes are so different by then you ll get called more often specially if you are the shorter one with all kinds of crap and get crushed usually.
PS software is for example known for creating so many coollers during tournament but thats just to speed things up. It's ranked best so far but also hardest to win regulary. Just compare it with High pulse poker software from a while ago where you would crush fish just like in live poker (There are many other platforms easier than PS). Maybe thats one of the reasons they shut down so quickly cause fish wasnt very happy with that.
There you could finish things on turn instead of river feeling comftorable with your odds. On ps you have to pray to survive with 80-90% odds if you ship it on turn not to mention what happens if you do it on flop. But its same for all.

@Weenie. Pretty standard, but you should ship it if you were one of the shorter stacks and raise with unpaired hands to avoid this. I think that's what lukas was telling you with "slowplaying". Normally that isnt slowplay. I wouldnt call you there with 7-2 if i had 14k but it would be pretty wide range as well. Cheers.

It don't matter how you played the hand this donk just did is exactly that, donked ya and it's sick to see or hear about people who get by playing such trash. I can't stand it, but there's nothing anyone can do and that's another thing that's to bad.
All you can do is mark these players and hopefully get even in another game and remind them after you do. Sorry to hear you getting really donked!

He had 140 blinds... why don't call 3 blinds with 140 ? he was the chip leader? if was... you should shove your aces... BTW that is poker... today win, tomorrow lose all Big Smile

Based on stack sizes...he can call your raise becoz it's small ball relative to the blinds. He can see what developes on the flop cheaply. 3BB doesn't hurt his stack. 72s has a 38.6 win % against a random hand. He's sitting in good position M wise so calling here really isn't a bad play. Get the feeling he'd call up to 10BB. Actually, this is a perfect example of how small ball works. One of the key elements of this style is it's ability is to crack big pairs.
If one is trapping, this time it cost becoz you got out flopped. Imho an open shove, wanting a call, and expecting to double would be my play here...do or die...at around 50% with AA in cash games and less in tourneys.

Just moments ago on zoom:
Just the type of thing i was refering too. On these small stakes people will call you more often so your small percentage of advantage doesnt matter much let alone in freeroll.
But you can also say its my fault shipping it there vs 2 opps but that's my style of play when i know where i am at in a hand and in long run its win like brunson says finish it on turn while you are ahead.
Cheers and get used to it Smile

Guys thanks a lot for answers Smile But you should realize that I didnt want to make him fold BEFORE flop, cause I had best hand Smile So there was no reason to raise it more before flop couse if I raised like 1000 or go allin preflop He would folds for sure Smile Do you want to make every player fold preflop when you have aces? I guess no, you want to put as much as possible chips on pot and then after flop make him fold Smile And thats what should exactly happened.. Just sH1t happened and he hits 2 pairs on flop.. its unpredictable and small probability, you know Smile

yeah something similar happened with me in real cash entry fee tourney latley ... i was already at cash place but still .... got sucked out lol but im used with that no mattter if freeeroll or sunday milion it may happpen everywere

You better raised higher preflop...

for his postflop raise... he could have a pair, 2 pair or str chances

Remmember it s always risky to go allin with just overpair or highest pair.

He was just the bigstack that made a cheap call preflop and he hit the flop and you went down...

That s poker

Loosing AA to 27, one of the worst things one can imagine at a table, and it happened to you. The way you played it's justified by what you just expalined, that you didn't wanted to scare him, but with you having 3,500 and him 14k, i think you would never scare him. Ok, if you were all-in pre-flop there's no way he would call you, and even those 300 he put there pre-flop were just because he had that huge amount of chips and it's justifiable to play against a much shorter opponent with any tewo cards.

i very well know, how were your feelings. I did not won more then like 5 rockets in row. every time i won to play slow, some lucky guy hit the flop and force me to go all in and lose, or when i ant to be aggresive, everyone fold.

It's a tournament and your tournament life is on the line. So no you dont want to be called with crap. Your little stack doesnt allow you that luxury of luring opponents into the pot. You want to be called with similar range hands like AQ AK AJ or any pairs. So by going all in with that little stack you at least force the crap like 7-2 out of the pot.

If noone bites be happy with blinds and you can wait next opportunity. Cheers.

always remember : when you have a monster hand --> it s importnant to let your opponents pay to see the flop.
So in late position and the bigstack behinf you yuo should at least raise 4 BB or even 5 BB.

If they fold --> you are 100 % sure of winning the pot , that s also a win with no risk

If you get called --> nice pot to play for

First hand, you deserved to get beaten. You called a pre flop raise with 4 5 and hit two pair, still leaving you way behind so many hands its unreal. Thats not a bad beat at all.

Second hand, you went all in with AQ, again you deserved to lose for being dumb enough to risk everything on what amounts to Ace high with a semi decent kicker.

Neither of those hands are bad beats, in fact you played them as badly as you could possibly play them.

Man i m sick of you already giving me lessons in poker.
You simply dont understand that there are other styles apart from ABC poker that you use in donkaments.
You say i risked everything with A-Q. Are you blind or something or simply retard? I had 19k chips it clearly shows.
There is no hand here that i m behind and i had fold equity on 4-5 he made dumb call. My move wasnt dumb cause no sane person would call that with an overpair on turn.
Please post your coinflip now and say its a bad beat where YOU are behind. lmao
You only look at your hand. I look at hand of my opponents. BIG DIFFERENCE !

Your cards don't matter, cards are just insurance in tournaments.

http://postimage.org/image/xrkdhbf8r/full/ - i ll post you entire HH from tournament you might learn a thing or two how to win without aces.
