Although Australian players were present at each of the first three WSOP APAC final tables, all were won by Americans (Bryan Piccioli, Jim Collopy and Phil Ivey). Lim represented his home country well on Thursday and became the sixth Aussie to win a WSOP bracelet, joining Joe Hachem, Andrew Hinrichson, Mark Vos, Gary Benson and Mel Judah, who owns two.

It took four events but the first WSOP APAC bracelet to remain on home soil has been claimed, as Aaron Lim takes one down for the Aussies.
The 26-year old defeated 166 other players, including Andy Lee heads-up, to take down the AUD $233,800 first prize in the AUD $5,000 Six Max Event.

Congratulations to Aaron, still the prize is pretty low if you ask me considering the 5k buy in for the event.

Not sure where but i heard his name before but it was related to online poker. I wonder which is his online nickname?

I don't remember Aaron Lim's name from the begining of this year, but he already won enough to beat many good quarterly results of many companies world wide.

Aaand two years later he is still playing and winning (APT Manila). Good for him I guess - sending him all my congratulations - he is younger, smarter and richer than me so there isn't any real reason to envy his life and achievements I think. Big Smile
