Had the same same problem last night was going too play the Canadian 20 point special but couldn't log in I think they were doing some routine maintenance but its up and running now

Party Poker is a joke. An older friend of mine told me that when the online poker thing started, Party was the giant. No idea how they managed to screw it up like that. I just can`t stand playing there. It`s only PokerStars or Full Tilt for me.

When it was first mentioned that online poker would become illegal in America, Party Poker immediately banned all American players and paid up their accounts.
Sites like PokerStars still allowed American players for around a year after that... and virtually all of Party's traffic moved to Stars.
PartyPoker made a morally good choice - but morals and business don't mix well.

Oh, that`s how it happened. But even the software, Pokerstars software is so much more comfortable and they almost never have things like mentioned above happen.
