Hi guys

How long have you been playing poker? What have you done so far to advance your knowledge of the game? No offense intended, I can understand your other thread about QQ, but when you start asking about 2-3s I can't help but think that you are just starting out. If you are just starting out I would prefer to help you out by pointing you towards places where you can learn about poker strategy and starting hands vs. answering this thread.

No been playing a while and it should say how should you play them, as in opion wise , i only play them if i have a decent read on players but not sure how others would, i always panic becuase some times it works and sometimes it dont, because most players never call wih low cards just high ones so there could be more outs. thats how i think to play them.

I find that ultra-weak suited connectors are trouble waiting to happen because they can give you the illusion of having a strong hand, which will cause you to get in deep in a pot, only to lose out to something better. With suited connectors, you are looking to flop straight and flush draws, however in a multi-way pot there is a good chance that you will be up against people who have better flush and straight draws, and you end up in a big pot with the second best hand. Cards like these I fold unless I am big blind and everyone limps around to me. That's my opinion.

Ok so i will think about that next time i have them, and will consider other options thanks mate

2-3o or suited never wins unless you flop a fh...which is 0.2% or sumshit.

Never worth it unless on the bb or you get a cheap shot at a big pot.

All in pre flop!

I would consider not playing them at all. But hey, what do I know?

I belive the suited thing gives you just a few precent better chances than if they where not suited. So, you should play them like 2 % more often than you play 23 offsuit.

And, as mentioned earlier, what the f*ck do I know about partying or anything? Now I'm going to go and stick my d**k into the potatosallad...

If I think my opponent has a big hand, and I can get in the pot cheap, then yes 23s is a good hand to play

If you miss flop just fold, hit the flop and you are minted

Big Smile< ahahahahahahahahahhaahAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHhahahahahaaaaaaa..... Thumbs Up

SOLID advice....lol...

Actually,....Mahdrof stole the words right out of my mouth... Best just to fold 'em unless you are on one of the blinds,...then at that point just don't spend too much playing them... Getting out flushed is a consideration big time if someone else is going for it too... Smile Thumbs Up

TOTALLY agree with MAHDROF...... 23suited is full of dangers but worth letting em roll when in the BB and everyone limped round to you, or even if you are SB and everyone (or at least half the table) has limped in and then pot odds suck you in without much risk....... but be ready to throw them away unless you hit a monster on the flop, which is highly unlikely but worth the pot odds in the abiove situations.

well if u want to play this hand, guess play it like any other crap hand- play in position, be the one who is raising, then if you're left hu in the hand...just bluff, fire a barrel or two...never mind the cards (of course miracles do happen and u might flop the str8 flush or sth similar)...just continue with your plan and hope to take the pot with a bluff, other that that i do not see a lot of reason to be in the hand...

No.

Except for "any 2 cards" situations, like when M < 1. Or on occasion when the hand is folded to you on the button, and both the SB and BB have very high fold to steal percentage, and fold to c-bet percentage...

It works for the Russians and as you know they are big time winners. Blink

I have actually seen players play 23 suited or not before, they usually lose to the other fish using 34 or 45. Big Smile

Yeah, well certain things need to be done, so you might as well do them in an orderly fashion.

Naah... to be totally honest, I didn't think anyone would read through the whole post, so I thought I could write anything in the end. And I did.

Turns out I was wrong. Big Smile

The funny thing is that when i first saw the thread i thought you were talking about small pairs lol

If you are talking like hands like 2 3 suited or not the easiest way is to fold Thumbs Up

That was not part of my initial plan. But, as in poker, one always has to revaluate... I guess...
