Setting rules before you start any session of poker is a very good idea but being able to stick to them takes a lot of discipline and if you can master this i think you will improve your results in the long term

Hi Ronin, i guess Bankroll Management is a challenge in itself for every poker players. I say this because people don't think about it as they should. It's not like if it was your bank account because, in most cases, it really isn't. Many players tend to define a monthly value to deposit to a poker room and they will play that value as someone who plays a monthly value in lottery: spending it all it's not a problem, you made that deposit for that reason! I know (like you, for sure) many people who plays scratch games and, for instance, if they win a prize in the amount of what they spend to get that ticket, they will instantly get a new ticket to see if they actually win a prize, which will have to be higher than the amount spent. Is this a bad strategy? Perhaps. But people play to win big, that's why they don't make a management of the monthly $20 spent there. But i guess that, if one month, one of these regular $20 poker spenders gets a $100 prize in a tourney or at ring games, they will withdraw it, because they just achieved (by their way of thinking) the purpose of being playing: to get a big prize.

what happens is that the recreational players (fish) tend to deposit an amount and play roulette, play bone link and see if something like bingo without having a management of banckroll. so it is good to have notes on players to prevent unamesa sit with them at least is my view. luck and congratulations opr blog

@gufra20, what if you play some place that lets you have some anonimous action? My most experienced friends don't like that, because they can't use their tools (Hold'Em and others) on that, although they are able to apply them collours in the same, but all can chenge in a minute, when someone changes place with another player at the table. But i must say that kind of action can be an advantage for guys who know what to do at the tables but don't have that much to show to the users of those tools. This way, they won't be able to have side references about the players and that turns things more interesting.
