FREEROLL vs REAL MONEY games?   0
I seem to play smarter in real money games. I always think twice before putting all my chips in,aggressive but much more keen to the ranges of hands players may have in each position.
In real games when I am pretty sure I am beat I will just lay my hand down. But in the freerolls, I find myself playing very differently I will know someone has me beat and go all in anyways....

Since you know that in freerolls you did not invested in buy in you afford to play like that...

In fact many that go all in with any cards trying to double up think the same, if they double up is good, if not they did not lose anything!

so you say you play smarter on the cash games- i wonder how this relates to your overall performance... if you win more by playing cash games, then go for them- why stick with sth that makes you less cash in the long run...however if you make more on freerolls then it dosn't matter how great/stupid/silly etc. you play- just stick to them and have fun

Its always in the back of your mind that you have paid nothing to enter the tournament in freerolls and thus you are more likely to make the thinnest of calls. When there is money down your thought process is always different

Pride maybe? You can afford to have pride in a freeroll, but you kind of let it go on a real money game, since you're thinking about the money. Does that make sense?

G'day mate

It makes total since to me that you play the freerolls differently.
If it cost you nothing to play then even if you bust out chasing after crap you are still out nothing.
I try to play good poker regardless of weither it is a freeroll or not but at times I too just say oh well what the Hell and go for it.
best wishes to you.

Yeah when you play freeroll you tends to play like crazy as the chips do not seems to hold any value, also i would like to point that sometimes when you close in a freeroll or a money tournament you will play very nitty or your usal plays as near the final table there are good prizes even in freerolls. So keep it up , and play every game you play as a money game but every now and then go crazy mate. Cheers good luck at the tables!

Well you should adapt your play depending on the games you play. And im speaking about
freerolls where you are on doubt. If its a low value freeroll far from money its not bad widening your range of hands you play and the calls you make.
